Agreed. Kid has a lot of heart. I wish him the best wherever he lands.

I wish Drew the best of luck in finding a school where he can be a regular starter. Hopefully a Louisiana school!

Good for him. He was a program player.
Worked hard, showed up, did not complain. Could have gone other places and stuck with it here to follow in his dads footsteps. Nothing but respect for him.
Hope he transfers to where he wants to go and has great success.

Good luck and much success, Drew. Appreciate your contributions and work ethic. Thanks for being a Tiger.

quote:Do all the other players who leave not do this or something? It’s weird that he gets all this extra love as if y’all know what the locker room or practices are like. Is someone on the team no showing up that I don’t know about? Or complaining a lot?

Maybe he can go to Jackson St and play and be close to Pops

I know some do. My point is that it doesn’t exactly make him special.

I don’t understand the need to bash a player that was visibly a team leader. A player that on numerous occasions put his body on the line to make plays for LSU and us as fans.
He always gave max effort, was always one of the first out of the dugout to greet his teammates, and he helped keep order in the dugout when it needed it.
So he didn’t play up to your expectations as a fan. So what? He played hard and he gave it his all for LSU.

It’s less about how much he sucked (although he truly did) and more about this being the second time he’s tried to leave the team. Y’all call him a great teammate yet ignore the fact it’s his second time in the portal.
ETA: Drew may become a really good coach one day. And if he’s as good as he wants to be, he will never keep a kid like himself on his team. Skip expected you to be a good teammate but also a good player. If you couldn’t cut it on the field or in the locker room, you were done. It was never one or the other. See my sig quote. If you weren’t good enough no matter how hard you tried, you weren’t good enough for LSU.

Get off the kids arse Ell. He didn’t try to leave the team 2 times. There was a very specific reason he went in the portal the first time. I’ve back you on here plenty of times but enough is enough. No telling how many records he would have set at Loyola
