Wasn’t he roommates with Myles Brennan back in their freshmen days?

So now the question is who's underachievement rubbed off on who?

Seeing him and gio go is closing the book on the mediocrity that was the last few years.

[quote]. Stop making him out into a player he never was[/quot

What did I say he was that you don’t agree with?

You don’t think he was a good utility fielder?
I already said his bat sucks but it was a little better when he got more abs

I already said he wasn’t a good enough hitter to justify playing daily .

He wasn’t even a good OF. Making a bad read then having to dive for a ball isn’t exactly solid.

That’s a stretch to say that he didn’t provide stability when we were faced with injuries. He wasn’t a starter so he’s obviously not as good as the starters but as a utility player he would always give you a solid fielding performance and played hard as hell

I mean, it wasnt hard to see. Do went running into walls and diving into bullpens with zero regard for his body.

Did you watch the games this year? He dove into the wall after a ball two seperate times and that’s just this year. He plays like he’s not worried about injury. That’s not something that all players do

Are you just fricking with me or something? I mean, how can you watch him play and say he wasn’t max effort all the time

He's the bullpen coach for the USA Collegiate All-Star team coached by his dad this summer.

His career hitting at LSU is .191 BA, .348 OBP, .341 Slugging, .689 OPS.

He was really overmatched hitting at the SEC level. Great team guy though. Good luck to him.

Or maybe he was diving everywhere because his reaction timing isn't the best.

Will be weird to see him wearing an Ole Miss jersey next season, but cool if he gets to go play for his dad in his final season!! Wish him all the best

The kid worked his arse off and did all he could be be the best player he could be for us. That’s all you can ask of anyone, and as the 2/3 star player growing up with a 4/5 star little brother who had talent to play in the NFL, but had half of my work ethic, and I can appreciate that. As a fan if you don’t appreciate it you are a prick who obviously never played.

If he was never good enough that’s not on this kid that’s on the coaches that recruited him.

So the correct response is “thank you Drew for all the effort and giving us all you had. Once a Tiger always a Tiger and best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do”
