He has two more years, 2018 and 2019.

I do think that if 2018 goes badly like I believe it will, say a 7-5 season or worse, if he does not turn it around in 2019, there's a good chance he'll be let go after that season. By then, everyone that matters will be completely fed up.

Coaching matchups
Saban- we lose
Gus at home- we lose
Fisher- we probably lose
Florida- we likely lose
Kirby- we lose

There’s a very good shot at five loses.
And Miami is probably another.

This guy could very easily miss a bowl next year and if O isn’t fired with the talent he has all hell will break lose.

It all depends if season ticket holders unite and don't renew. I hope many care about the program and stop donations till this dumpster fire.

Fans need to raise holy hell and voice their opinions

O's contract buyout details Nov, 2017 $12 mil Nov, 2018 $8.5 mil Nov, 2019 $6 mil Nov, 2020 $4.5 mil Nov, 2021 $1 mil Contract ends in March of 2022.

I think you're a year behind with these numbers. His buyout was 12 million when the contract started and dropped with his pay this season putting the buyout currently at 8.5 and at 5 million after next season. I could be wrong here but those numbers don't seem right. His buyout drops every year by the same amount as his salary and with those numbers it didn't decrease at all after this year.

ETA: I also think it's a 4 year contract and not a 5.

He will be back for 2018 and 2019.

No extensions , No Raises , and No more CA$H to work with.

LSU has no more budget, thats why we have Steve Ensminger as OC.

The support for the Athletic Dept is at a all time low. The ability to make the RIGHT Hire or not to get into a Bad contract seem to be beyond their means. Its a sad state we fine ourselves in right now at LSU.

You are correct. No way LSU fires any coach after 2 seasons for on the field performance. If there is an action that would fall under “with cause”, then he would be let go. While I am extremely disappointed in O’s inability to evolve outside of his comfort zone, it is in our best interest that LSU succeed. It’s much easier to attract a quality coach to a program that is on stable ground. Let’s all take a deep breath and a shot of vodka and pull for the Tigers. After all, it’s the players that are most important. I could never wish them to be losers.

Yep. As long as he makes a bowl game he’s safe

A total train wreck? LSU Athletics?
You need to back up and take a breath.

LSU Baseball finished 2nd at the CWS and finished #1 in attendance for somewhere around the 17th or 18th straight season.

LSU Basketball (Aleva) hired Will Wade who in his 1st season has basketball definitely moving in the right direction.

LSU Football is in its' first season under Orgeron and went 9-4 (not a catastrophe like some are acting). LSU will finish strong in recruiting and have a Top 10 Class.

Yeah, the sky is falling. Good grief.
