Kelly appears to lack killer instinct and the team is bad at fundamentals and tackling. Personnel is still an issue in year 3. There is not much to say. The team is not ready to complete at the upper level of the SEC. Its really pretty simple.
We could argue about why. Poor hiring and retention decisions, misses in the portal or flat refusing to pay, player development….. Regardless, other teams win and play tough with far less talent than LSU has.

What are you talking about? LSU took a shot downfield on 1st down and Lacy dropped the ball. Actually a really nice throw. Same play Nuss was stepped on and had a limp. You take your team in and regroup in that situation 10/10 times. LG hurt and QB hurt.
Complain about something else. Maybe complain about your "star" receiver not catching the ball or your First Round tackle getting driven back to into the QB yet again.

Agree 100 percent. Kelly and Sloan have a deficiency in capturing momentum and putting games out of reach when you have the opportunity.
I too felt it after the half ended that that’s where we lost the game. We had a chance to put them away and didn’t. Same happened with USC.
We haven’t been the same since the end of the first half at A&M. No one can argue that point.

This is not really what happened.
And yes, in the moment I was pissed off and thought the same thing.
But… we actually did try to score there. Nuss threw a deep pass to Lacy on first down that would have put us at least in FG position.
But Lacy dropped it and Nuss tweeked his ankle on the play. That’s why they shut it down and decided to go into half with what looked at the time like a really good lead.
I’m not a Nus fan, not. BK fan and sure as frick not a Sloan fan. But watch that sequence again. We didn’t just quit with 80 seconds left in the half.

It was one of the most embarrassing moments in my 55 years as a Tiger Fan!
Not even top 100, you must have slept through 1974-77, 81, 83, 89-94, 98,99, UAB, Texas,UGA 04, 08 etc etc etc

I think they are tired and beatup and a few starters and many backups are on IR. Even if they were all healthy, the talent level is much less than bama or even a&m. However, I do think the a&m game was winnable. Defense just didn't make the adjustment and Nuss did not play smart. Nuss is not good enough to carry the team. He should be told not to even try. He needs to play his game come hell or high water. He becomes a turnover machine when he leaves his zone. He is not Jayden!

Not only were you incorrect about where the ball was; but you left out numerous facts. On first down after we got the ball back, we took a deep shot down the field (not exactly sitting on the ball). Nuss took a shot on the throw and was noticeably limping after the play. Then on 2nd down LSU tried a draw play which didn’t work. At that point, facing 3rd and 12 and with a QB that wasn’t moving well, and a defense that at that point was dominating the game, he decided to let the clock run. While it’s arguable that was the best course of action it’s certainly a reasonable one to make. If you want to criticize Kelly as a result of that game, maybe try the fact our defense was completely unprepared for a different style QB and seemingly made no adjustments during the game.

Horrendous playcalling on both first and second downs.
So you didn’t like the first down call for the pass to Lacy down the field that was dropped?? Or is it that you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Yall are gonna be so mad when BK is hoisting that SEC Championship trophy about a month from now.
It’s happening. Tennessee is losing to UGA, Mizzou is losing to Arkansas. Texas will be there knowing they’re in the CFP regardless of the outcome thus not focused on the game and LSU wins.
Geaux Tigers

It was at best a low % play. We had success with Nuss throwing over the middle to the tight end. That would have gained 15 yards and kept the drive going.
Lacy didn't drop the Nuss pass. That pass was wildly inaccurate, and... BATTED AWAY!

Yer not jes' woofin'. South Carolina has considerably less talent on both sides of the ball than LSU, yet they're in much better postseason form than LSU. And look at what Vandy has done this year, with Phil Steele's rating of 16th in the conference in almost every position.
