I have a bet with someone that Stony Brook plays 3 games or less in Omaha.
I'd be surprised if they did.....Arizona and FSU are 2 of the top hitting teams in the country and neither put those numbers up in the America East.
UCLA is going to bring them some pitching they didn't see at LSU....aka less power more control/location....I think game 1 is going to be very interesting and could tell you a lot about how good SB can do in this CWS.

I bet a lot of fans on this forum believe SB is going deep into the tourney.

Considering half of the field in Omaha plays 3 games or less, your friend made an awful bet.

he said SB would play for the 'ship. I should go double or nothing with him when Stony Brook loses to UCLA today

wonder if Guillot has his Stony Brook shirt laid out and pipes ready for the game today.
I really don't understand what your problem is but it sure makes you appear to be very immature.

Dude 80% of the people that post on this board are putting SB in the championship series....and half of those have them winning it

I just thought the UCLA thing was hilarious. And the pic Maximus made of Guillot, K-Lady, and Redneck was hilarious

Can't really argue that one. In Hoover a few weeks ago he started some "BLACK" ---- Gold chant behind the Vanderbilt section in the South Carolina game.

It's the same phenomenon when a QB passes for 400 yards on us.
I remember many saying Geno Smith was the best QB we faced last year and that Sam Keller was gonna win a Heisman and be an all pro NFL QB and that Jonathan Crompton was the next big thing in the SEC. OH, yeah. Let's not forget about how appy st. is a team that could make a run for OMaha.

No, no, no. He's just a "classy" fan.
Not all, but most of these fans are bandwagoners veiling themselves with the term "classy." That's my problem with them.

I understand the game just fine. If you think I don't understand the whole "class" and gentlemanly" aspect of it then that's on you.

The reason the LSU fans applauded was because, for the most part, Stoney Brook beat us the right way. They came out and played harder. They didn't play dirty (except for maybe some of the sliding spikes first type stuff), they didn't win because of controversial calls (the umps were awful but Stoney Brook would have won without them), they won because they played harder.
LSU fans clapping for Stoney Brook was because we saw them as a truly worthy opponent. If we are to lose, we want to lose to a team that we see as our equal or our better. Stoney Brook was certainly worthy of our respect by the end of that series.

Elleshoe, I am sincerely curious as to how many baseball games you attend, going back over the past 10 yrs or so in particular. I understand that actual game attendance, either way, does not qualify or disqualify one from being a fan, but it does say something bout one's ability to judge other fans' motives who have attended games for yrs. It is also noted that those who are so negative very seldom have anything good to say bout anyone or anything...there is a psychological term for that type of person but I hesitate to get too deep here as some cann't even understand the English language.
