I just don't see any harm in the words LSU & class being associated with each other, & in this case, it is beneficial to us. Yet, as usual, the thread got hijacked by those who have been spewing the same message all wk now.

LSU fans clapping for Stoney Brook was because we saw them as a truly worthy opponent. If we are to lose, we want to lose to a team that we see as our equal or our better. Stoney Brook was certainly worthy of our respect by the end of that series.

Clapping is one thing. Hey, good for them. They beat the team I pull for, but congrats. They earned it.

Them making a a victory lap around the ballpark and LSU fans high fiving and cheering them on is quite weird.

Elleshoe, I am sincerely curious as to how many baseball games you attend, going back over the past 10 yrs or so in particular. I understand that actual game attendance, either way, does not qualify or disqualify one from being a fan, but it does say something bout one's ability to judge other fans' motives who have attended games for yrs. It is also noted that those who are so negative very seldom have anything good to say bout anyone or anything...there is a psychological term for that type of person but I hesitate to get too deep here as some cann't even understand the English language.

didn't get to make very many this year because of school and work commitments but I always made somewhere between 15-25 from the time I was a freshman until this season (about 9 seasons ago).

most of these fans are bandwagoners veiling themselves with the term "classy." That's my problem with them.

Again, why is it what Guillot does make you so critical of him?

Well for one, he's a huge attention whore.

So the way to show up an attention whore is to give him more attention on a message board?

Okay, I think I've got it now.....

Isn't the definition of bandwagoning rooting for a team only when they're winning?

I'd say reading the large amount of people here who have a sudden interest in stony brook baseball confirms that.

Also, Chris guillot starting a chant and wearing UCLA colors and Vandy colors and now probably SB colors? Is that classiness too?

your condescending tone makes me realize you really are one of those entitled pricks that is probably pushing 50 (if not older) who thinks they are the greatest LSU fan ever because they pay to eat a shitty catered meal and hear Will Davis talk for 3 minutes.

Russian, how would you feel if every team that won a game against lsu next baseball season took a victory lap after they won?

Honestly, id laugh. Fans wouldn't be too happy about that after the first time.

Hell, I kinda hope anyone that does beat lsu next season at the box does take a victory lap. The rant would be priceless.

Again, your jealously of someone who supports the baseball team over and above just going to an occasional game is sad....and also very revealing about YOU.

I think most people don't have a problem with the clapping....its the victory lap that have a lot of people up in arms.

If this is true then we should have asked Rice to take a victory lap in 2005 when they beat us in the regional final right?.....I have yet to be able to find any evidence of this and no one on this board has said that they did.

I was at a wedding that weekend and that was the only post season baseball that I have missed at the box other than this past Super since 1998.....so that is why I can't speak to it from personal experience.

Anybody have an answer to that?
