There's no question he can (and will) make people miss...a lot. He's probably better at doing that than even Guice. The one concern is the breakaway speed. Guice was a homerun threat because he could outrun SEC LB's/DB's. The question is still out on if Helaire can do that.

Or least proven

RB is a position where guys can come on pretty early. By mid season I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the freshmen looking stout.

We saw he was the best rb we have in the spring game.

Regardless of what the “word” is

Always thought he would be a great RB for LSU. Just watching him run...he has the "it" factor.

You’ve got to love the offseason. All of a sudden we’ve got Beast Mode in the backfield.

Honestly, do you think a recent high school graduate is PRIME Marshawn Lynch?
No doubt the OP was smelling what the Rock is cooking with his description of all RB's. Everything is hunky dory because he said so!

Everything I've seen from the guy leads me to believe that the RB position is in good hands. Hopefully there's another RB on the roster that is starter quality come fall practice. He needs a good backup.

FWIW, just because they play action and throw to the RB, doesn't mean it's a screen. Sorry, but it's a pet peeve.

But i agree, Clyde will be an amazing back for LSU

If you had praised Hellaire and left it at that, I might have taken you more seriously, but you’ve extended your praise to every new Tiger, even one who has yet to face college competition.
