LSU has a 5% chance to win and below is the only way:

LSU must run the ball well (over 150 yards) and eat clock; LSU needs to possess around 37 or 38 minutes
LSU must convert at least 2/3 on third downs
LSU can have a max of 1 turnover which can yield zero points for Bama
Bama must have at least 3 turnovers yielding at least 14 points to LSU
LSU must hold Bama to less that 40 percent on 3rd downs
LSU must score once via special teams or defense
Stingley and Ricks will have to plan man on Smith and Metchie in order for the d to stack the box for Harris, ika needs to play a ton. Stingley and Ricks can only allow one deep touchdown bomb total.

In other words LSU needs near perfection just to have a chance.

You don’t trust stingley and ricks vs their wideouts ?
Stingley got burned bad last year and probably has something to prove

Problem is they have more than 2 guys that will be running routes

Lol we have no secondary outside of ricks and stingley. Mac jones and bama likes to throw deep shots on play action we have no safety’s that can cover ground. Alabama’s O-line might be the best in the country and we can’t stop the run and certainly can’t contain the edges. What on green earth are you smoking?

I don't trust our line getting pressure and I think they run on the edge way too well for us to stop them...come gameday I will think we win though

I prefer to look to the next game. I'm always afraid of a "jinx" when you discuss games that are too far ahead.

In this odd year, Alabama could drop an unexpected game or two.

last year was fun thinking about "what" we could do to the rest of the schedule....This year I'm a one game at a time, with my fingers crossed and 10 candles burning at the local church. 2020 rebuild/reload has been tough on an old fan.

Bama's best player right now is Najee Harris. He has 595 rushing and 124 receiving yards and 14 TDs.

We currently are giving up more yards per carry to every RB we face vs their other opponents. This D still has major issues and it's not just scheme. We have the wrong players on the field in the wrong positions.

A lot of this will get worked out in the offseason when Pelini can re-assess who fits his scheme and maybe a 2 week stretch will get them better prepared before Bama, but right now he's plugging bullet holes with bubble gum.

If South Carolina averaged 8 yards per freakin play what will that Bama offense do?

If Missouri can score 44, how many will Bama score?

If MSU can put up the most passing yards EVER IN SEC HISTORY, what will Mac Jones do?

This post is bad and you should feel bad.

Their Oline gave up the same amount of sacks as us in close to the same amount of attempts. Pretty surprised to see that.

Well let's see Bama may be the best Offense in the country. Tough RB and explosive passing game. QB in total control, an OL that may be as good as any we’ve seen.

LSU can't defend the run and can't defend the pass. On pace to be the worst D in school history. This is not an exaggeration is what the numbers say.

LSU may score some points but Alabama may not even need their punter to travel.

Yeah this is a real good matchup.

Our defense gives up explosive plays

Their offense is one of the best in the country at making explosive plays

I'm struggling to see how we keep them under 50

We haven’t played a team with a pulse yet and still lost 2 games. So I’m not sure how good or bad we are.

In these matchups you speak of, which of the following are you referring to (in context of the SEC):

A) Their #1 scoring offense against our #8 defense?
B) Their #1 passing offense against our #14 passing defense?
C) Their #1 pass yds, total yds, or yds/att vs. our #12, #9, or #12, respectively, defense?

Uber talented CBs are always at a disadvantage against uber talented WRs, which Stingley/Ricks are indeed but so are Smith/Meche. The best mitigation is a team effort playing technically sound. I say we suck at being "team technically sound" on the defensive side of the ball this year.

What you are referring to is individuals, on paper. For a team sport, on the field, we are falling short. On paper we MIGHT matchup somewhat. On film, we absolutely do not.

They throw and catch bombs better than any team I've ever seen and we defend bombs about as bad as any team I've ever seen. I know we don't match up there. They also have an RB who needs to be group tackled and our players all seem to be on separate islands at times, so that is problematic as well. I do think our offense will be able to have some success against them though.

main problem I see is we will need to play more zone against both Auburn and Alabama to slow down their running game and avoid our DB's having their backs to the play. We have been horrendous in Zone with many blown assignments this year. Its not a good matchup for our linebackers at all. Think they will have 250 running against us.
