If we can run the ball effectively out of the I don’t mind it. Just don’t beat your head against the wall with it.

I like it. Gives teams down the road just one more thing to have to worry about.

In our fans eyes when they see I formation they see toss dive on first and second down all game long.

It also gives LSU one more thing to worry about. Why not just develop an offensive identity and practice it until you execute to mastery?

La Tech is not a pushover. Treat them as one and we could end up losing the game. Treat them with respect, game plan for them, and go win the game.

I think it’s more to wear down LA tech and keep their offense on the sidelines. We will have to do that for A&M and ole miss too....may as well get some practice at it

Thoughts of Troy will keep some Lsu fans on Edge.. but I don’t take issue with this. Like Hanny said.. take care of business and on to Ole miss

So we want to shorten the game and avoid injuries? No problem.

This is Fn dumb. You run your offense and stay in sync.

You think running i form power football avoids injuries? Interesting

I want to see "I slot" - Carter at FB with 3 WRs. Moreau has been bad (possibly hurt).

Why does he get defensive about it?

Yeah I don't know why you don't just run your normal offense. How do you develop consistency if you're running something different every game?

He always mentioned the I formation at least on the occasions where he took the time to expound on our multiple offense.

It's all speculation at this point, but I don't understand or know of another team that runs 65% shotgun then I formation next week against weaker competition... knowing you will need to focus on shotgun offense going forward. You run your offense and stay in sync. Only change is on certain plays to scheme the D but your offense should remain the same.

agreed. we need to keep building chemistry between burrow and receivers and line.

u can run some nice play action and rollouts out of the I though.

I agree. They should use this game as a glorified practice and get their routes and timing down - they will need the experience later in the season.

Didn't Ensminger establish LSU Offense records out of the I a few years ago? Don't underestimate the Tech D but Brosette should go off - Mighty Mouse, too.

i also look for more throws to the TE in the near future as well.

we will need the kitchen sink to beat UGA much less bama. back shoulders, seams, fades, WR screens, RB screens, the works. We need everything working like a well oiled machine by the time UGA and the TIDE come rolling in.

we will need some big hitters deep because i will guess kirby and saban will play man press and blitz the shite out of us. we need to have our screens ready for that with slants and some deeper routes depending how long line can hold/pick up blitz.

I love how people freak out every week over some of the dumbest shite ever. No one actually know what the hell they will do. I doubt we totally get away from our offense.

It has it's place and time.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- you have the same number of eligible receivers in any formation. It's a question of whether you use them.

And FBs are great, like anything else... when used in moderation.

I have zero issues using the I or P-I on regular basis and then slipping in a play action down the seam.

What I do have issues with is ALWAYS, without fail, running out of 1 formation (the I, for example) and passing out of another. Don't let the formation dictate the play. There are limits, but it doesn't have to dictate it.
