prematurely downvoted because I thought you were saying one of the freshmen would beat him out. apologies

With Brennan's arm, think how many yards he would put up in a Mike Leach offense. Yes, Mr. Brennan will have a productive year, especially after what Joe Burrow has demonstrated is possible.

Myles’ only TD pass of the season came against the ags.

Seeing gifs like that make me so happy that Miles isn’t on our staff any longer

Wouldn't be surprised, however it took Bayou Joe 2 years so I will disagree and say he's back in 2021. But if you're right, that probably means we make another playoff run and will take that!

Well, this is what we want, so im good with it, someone needs to be in his ear making sure he plays this year like it's his last, I'm all about the 2 different QB's doing great at Lsu back to back years, we will have a sales pitch to recruits every year

It's more about the o-line and the d-line than it is about Brennan.
We'll be good next year, but factor in this year's recruiting class with a year under it's belt and a senior QB in 2022 ... a real chance at another Natty.

People should not expect Brennan 2020 to be like Burrow 2019.
Burrow 2019 would not have been Burrow 2019 without Burrow 2018.
Brennan 2021 might be like Burrow 2019.

I'm elated that we finally lucked upon a Head Coach who understands that Louisiana and the surrounding area produces an abundance of skilled athletes and is willing to take advantage.
Those Neanderthals and their thinking are in the past. Who would have believed it would take a "Shrimp Boat Captain" to lead us to the promised land.
Its the best time to be an LSU fan in decades.
Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Women's Basketball are all winners.

I don't expect Brennan do be anywhere close to Burrow but the situations are different. Burrow probably didn't even know half of his teammates names when he took his first snap against Miami. Also he ran a different offense in 2018 with less weapons to throw to and also had a better running back in 2019.

The good think about Myles is that money won't be a factor if he decides to leave after next season
Posted on 2/14/20 at 8:13 am to Jack Crevalle
What makes a player leave early?
Need for money
Not enjoying the college experience
Lack of respect for the coaching staff
The guy has stuck around for three years waiting for his chance to play for LSU. I think it means something to him and I don't see him leaving unless he completely removes the ceiling on his NFL potential.

You may on to something here. LSU has figured out that this is the place where someone can have one good to great season and then leave. Got it.

That one guy 12 years ago that wasn't eligble to come back for another season?

Most QB's will stay more than one season unless they are seniors cause the NFL wants to see QBs for two seasons preferably cause QB is such an important position.

It did for him.... as a 5th year senior after he spent considerable time with practice reps, film room study, etc.

If Brennan trows for over 40 TDs and decides to forgo his 5th year at LSU because he is projected consensus first rounder, the narrative in recruiting circles that LSU is not a QB school will be shite canned for life.

I don’t know, Joe Burrow said he begged the coaches to find him an extra year of eligibility. I could see Brennan staying even after a 35+ TD season.
