Don’t be fooled by what TAF publically states about ticket renewals!

Being a purple jacket donor, I personally know of 3 other purple jacket donors that have relinquished their long standing season tickets this year. The consensus is they have all grown weary of the lack of desire to be the best and being surpassed by other conference schools with less resources and talent. This is a quote from one of the donors who ceased donations and gave up their football and baseball tickets this year. “I am no longer going to support an athletic program that strives for mediocrity and doesn’t have the desire to be the best!” btw-this individual has their name engraved on a building on campus. He stated that he has received multiple phone calls and emails from LSU asking to reconsider and offered extensions to renew his multiple season football tickets.

Why do you think they released a statement at all? Why are they calling new ticket purchase "renewals" they didnt advertise last year or the year before when they opened ticket sales up not only to waiting list but general public not on any waiting list at all...

Names, or I don’t believe you. If they’re that mad I’d think they would want to speak out publicly. TAF doesn’t have a monopoly on propaganda.

I believe this because a few years ago when I wanted tickets I was on a pretty stout waiting list and could only get west uppers. Last year I had the pick of the litter.

Why would someone want to speak out publicly about this?

Yeah but if I had to guess, the amount of money they receivefrom that “5%” is a lot more than the amount of money they receive from any 5% of the ticket buyers.

I guess the better option would have been for LSU to pay a coach $75 million over 10 yrs to come in and suck hind tit to Saban. It doesn’t matter what coach LSU brings in, as long as Saban is at Bama, they are going to be the top dog.

So just automatically default to the worst option available?

Good, don't renew.

All you gray hairs just leave at halftime or don't even show up anyway.

Only thing they'll miss is your donation, sure as hell won't miss you at the game.

ETA: I do applaud that they are actually doing something and not just whining on a message board. That's counts for something right?

Weird that you guys suffered through the 90’s and now this is the tipping point.

Maybe LSU sees it this way. I’m not saying I like it but maybe they are thinking we pay Ed for cheap now because no matter who we bring in the fans are going to be upset because he isn’t as good as Saban.

In the meantime, let’s focus on getting basketball up to par with the rest of the country. Hire a solid young coach as soon as he proves himself (probably as soon as this year) we give him a huge raise. Baseball is having a down year but they will bounce back soon and be fine. Then when Saban retires we get the guy we want and boom we are relevant in all three major sports at LSU.

That takes some serious cajones and a lot of major forward thinking. Two things this administration has never shown before so I doubt this is the case but there is a chance.
