Don't know how awesome they are going to feel wearing dark jerseys in Baton Rouge in late August.
Also at night.
The dark really makes the biggest difference in the sun.

No hotter in Baton Rouge than south Georgia.

When Erk was head coach at GSU the players always played in their blue shirts and helmets. He always wanted to play our home games at 12:oo or 1:00 pm. AS you know the temp on the field, in the south can reach 102F. He wanted it that way because GSU practiced in that type of heat and many others didn't. I wont say the fans liked the temp much but they came and supported any way. I really dont think the heat would effect us in a day game, but its a late game!

They will not score 24 points. This will be an LSU v GA tech peach bowl blow out

A strong and fast team should be able to shut them down. That's why the old school teams eventually gave it up...players got stronger and faster, as well as better coached.

Jeff- "A strong and fast team should be able to shut them down. That's why the old school teams eventually gave it up...players got stronger and faster, as well as better coached."
I do like your MAGA pic so you should know better than to underestimate an outsider or underdog!!!!
I've heard that T- Option crap since GSC started to run the spread triple under PJ in 1985 under head coach Erk Russell. Please look at GSUs,Navy's and Army's,record using the Spread Triple Option.
Yes we now run the Shotgun option and are making a comeback after 2 bad years and 3 Head coaches and staff in 2016 & 17.
Please go back and look at the 3- three minute videos against GT, North Carolina & #5 UGA, under HC Fritz's Shotgun Option in 2014 & 15. We will be their again but better.

MHC- "They will not score 24 points. This will be an LSU v GA tech peach bowl blow out".
Maybe or maybe not. The game has not been played yet.
We are not GT, we are Georgia Southern. I hope your team underestimates GSU as you do. It will make the 1st half E.Z.
As long as GSU keeps it close into the 4th we have a chance to pull off the upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MCH & Jeff - I asked you to go back to my earler thread and watch the 3 three minute videos against GT, NC & #5 UGA.
While under a different HC we will be running the same offense & defense but much better than in the 2018 season. Until you watch those short 3 minute videos don't tell me you can stop us!

The tread is on the last page but looks like this.
Most of you dont know much about GSU's past in FCS. GSU won 6 FCS National Championship starting in 1985, under Erk Russell, running the Paul Johnson style of Spread Triple Option, which really doesn't mean much to you.
HC Fritz changed from the PJ system, 5 years ago, & GSU now runs the Shotgun Option where the QB is not under center. When Fritz left after his 2nd year the program went to hell with 3 different head coaches.
Last year, running the Shotgun option, under our new HC and staff GSU made a come back from 2017 from a 2-10 season in 2017 to a 10-3 season in 2018 using the Shotgun Option.
Our last year in FCS under HC Monken vs U or Florida using the Spread Triple Option 8min video.

GSU vs Georgia Tech last 3min under a new HC Fritz using the Pistol Option
GSU vs GTLINK
NC State last 3min under HC Fritz using the Pistol Option

2nd year running the Pistol Option under HC Fritz against #5
UGA overtime 6 min video

If GSU has progressed over last years 10-3 team as I suspect, then you may have a battle on your hands.

Please remember LSU posters that haven't done their research, if I want your option on the option offense I'll tell you what it should be!

GTN - I wish I could say "oh it's just Georgia southern" but hell, they could come out on fire and managed to beat Florida not too long ago. Anyone pay attention to them?
I've read other posters say that Florida was 4-8 that year but they still were a P5 SEC team with 85 Scholar shops going against a 1aa or fcs team with 63 scholar ships.
AS one FSU poster said - Q & A
(Q) What type of battery could be used to shock the Gators in the Swamp?
(A) A 1aa GS brand.

ULM beat Ga Southern 44-25 last year. This isn't an App St or good Troy team. This will be 42-14 game and move on.

Your team should probably not worry about us and focus on Texas.

I agree TGS. There is NO REASON for LSU's Head Coach to waist his important time on a G5 team like Georgia Southern. They are an SEC team ranked to high to waist their time on us
IMO, the LSU head coach should be blasted by his staff, players and fans for spending LSUs valuable time on us.

Good thing we don't have a big game the following week.

FF-"Good thing we don't have a big game the following week"
You're still thinking in the short term. LSU should be looking towards the SEC games, winning the SEC, making the top 4 & a shot at the NC!

similar to the one ran at New Mexico recently..
Same OC. Bob Debesse brought it over from New Mexico. It’s very similar to what they did with Fritz though, but even more unique.

Well GSU ran a limited play book last year. I hope I see more this year!

GS beat App St 34-14 last year... With 7 of apps points coming during mop up duty... Will probably be 42-14 all the same but one game doesn't a season make. We won 10 games last season.
