Reminds me of the Michigan loss to APP State. But, Michigan fans NEVER bring it up. Only guys who hate Michigan.

What happened to that Coach?

The Bashers bring that up at least 3 times a week (I'm guessing it is on your "talking points" sheet?) So, I've heard it at least 150 times.

So, what is your counterpoint to my assertion that losing the Troy game was a massive coaching failure and demonstrated a lack of focus that was perpetuated by the coaching staff?

I couldn't give two craps about Michigan and App St. Lloyd Carr was fired from that job. I'm talking about a coach at our school that's still here.

triple option offense would be scary if we didn't have all summer to prepare for it.

I think this is kind of a common misnomer about opening games. It's not a bowl game where you've gone through the season and only have 1 opponent left to worry about and everything is installed offensive/defensively.
Good point.

I think Wisconsin DID view the LSU game as a bowl-type, and focused on LSU a lot in preseason (prior to both openers).
But that also doesn't quite count, because Wisky was a good team (they, like, say, Michigan State, will always be at least decent); and if you're good enough to beat LSU, you're good enough to beat anyone on your schedule.
And LSU doesn't do things nobody else does, LSU generally does them with better athletes.

You've lost the "fire Orgeron" battle. Get a hold of yourself, man!

So you have no counterpoint. You could've just said that.

My only point to you is WGAF? This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt you're whiny arse.

Everyone has already agreed many times over that O and his staff went braindead that game. What more are you expecting?

Triple options always lead to injuries.

I know my UGA friends say they could count on losing a good player every year they played GaTech's triple option.

They are liars and pussies. No UGA players ever got hurt going against Tech.

Kinda funny UGA fans talking about injuries when they paralyzed a player from Southern a few years ago.

Buckeye contended my point that the defensive line coach doesn't prepare his team well consistently. It was necessary to use an example to prove my point.

You are not talking football. You are on a never-ending campaign to discredit O. And no one is buying it anymore!

Yes, but LSU will dominate them. We have the quick twitch athletes at 10 of 11 defensive positions.

Reality says that app state was one of Car’s last straws. LSU’s brain fart against Troy was one of O’s first and has probably been swept away for most. Like the hire or not, giving a coach 3-4 years is a must if u want a replacement to feel he has a chance to succeed.
I don’t know if O can win championships but I believe he is much better than he was ten years ago. Have you worked in the same profession for ten years yet.
I’m normally a lurker but I’ve come to hate the constant bickering and bashing. Civil conversation and debates are one thing but the CONSTANT negativity is not good for our team.

Let's go eagles!

3 yard runs, move the chains, drain the clock and keep your offense off the field....that is our only chance at keeping it close. If you guys struggle with your new offense with a few offsides, holding ect then it could be fun.

Why does anyone care about a game from three years ago. What a waste of time. Saban lost to UAB early on.

Wisconsin has had solid teams since Barry Alvarez went there. We lost that game due to Fournette injury. Miles/LSU was not able to,adjust. And Harris was awful. Still could have won at the end but a couple of our Olineman whiffed blocks on the last drive.

If Fournette does not get hurt in preseason that year we still might have Miles as our coach. Scary

I agree with the GA Tech poster. Georgia and their fans are pussies.

That’s all I have to add.

They did before their coach went to Tulane.

Yeah, always love this comparison. It's not even a full two years ago.

Where is the defensive line coach's conference title like Saban won the year after that loss? I'm guessing that question isn't fair, but your horseshite comparison is.

A buddy of mine (D-Lineman for TCU) who played against Air Force said the triple option is nothing to worry about. He said it was the easiest game they played all year, in fact.
