That is so amazing, thank you all. Puts life into perspective.
Thanks guys. I am quite sure the school will be doing something to honor this family.

Had a great time in baton rouge and met so many great people. Your campus is amazing and in fact my high schooler is now applying to lsu (thanks ha). Had a great experience and again disappointed in our the team looked but putting everything into perspective it's just a game and not life altering. Hope you guys win out!

Sad news from Georgia Southern

Well first congrats on the win and sorry we didnt put up any kind of fight at all. It was a horrible showing for us and you guys looked great and good luck to you guys the rest of the way.

On the way home 2 of our lifelong fans were involved in a car accident and both passed away. They have 3 kids at georgia southern and 1 is in the marching band. They live 30 minutes from georgia southern and both were alumni and have been going to all games since they were in college.

The father and his son in the band took a nice picture right after the game. Prayers for their families.
I think you guys nailed it, I see a 42-10 type game. We come out fired up as anyone would and move the ball at first. Your d figures out the option in about 4 minutes in and shuts us down.

But on a side note we leave Atlanta tomorrow after work and staying in new Orleans tomorrow night and headed to baton rouge Friday morning to take in everything. Mikes cage, lsu baseball stadium, lunch some place good... then Saturday tailgating at 10 am and headed to meet some fun cajun folks at their tailgates.
I am 45 and I despise every sec team! Go Eagles.
I like #1 on the list. I know we dont throw much but that is impressive. What is more impressive is for an option team that runs and pitches so much, we only lost 4 fumbles all season. Mix that in with well disciplined (very few penalties) and controlling the clock is how we won 10 games past year and are in every game. We are not pulling the upset in a few weeks but if we continue to play our brand of football we can keep it closer than most of you will like.
Video of the arrest on this one. Pretty ridiculous

Our qb is back after passing a drug test
Our QB submitted and passed the drug test and is back at practice today. Doesnt matter in terms of winning the game against you guys, we all know that isnt happening but I am happy that the young man is clean and now his family, lawyer and the university can figure out what was happening with that policeman etc. Seruously, a white substance on the hood of a car? Glad he gets the chance to play at death valley.
Jimmy the leg, I think your post and score prediction both at the half and final is spot on. Looking forward to our trip to baton rouge, we will be in Friday morning and will be enjoying all baton rouge has to offer.

We will score and cover. Go Eagles!

Let's go eagles!

3 yard runs, move the chains, drain the clock and keep your offense off the field....that is our only chance at keeping it close. If you guys struggle with your new offense with a few offsides, holding ect then it could be fun.

Oh we are used to the heat and humidity as well in south ga.

Baton Rouge, LA

Weather averages

MonthHigh / Low(°F)Rain

June90° / 70°9 days
July91° / 72°10 days
August91° / 72°9 days

Statesboro, GA

Weather averages

MonthHigh / Low(°F)Rain

June92° / 71°9 days
July93° / 74°9 days
August92° / 73°9 days

Humidity appears the same as well. It will be hot for sure but nothing our team and fans are not used to. Now the females with us are going to complain the entire day but that is par for the course.

Not sure if the link will work but it gives you a look at what type of offense we run, for the folks that were asking about the option or at least what version we currently run.

You guys will score at will against us and will score fast. I am hoping we can move the ball a few yards at a time, eat up clock, keep your offense off the field. 49-3 (maybe we see the endzone at the end of the game if your 5th string gets some playing time.)

Blackened alligator sounds great and will be trying it. As for our ages, we are mid 40s so not sure about Fred's ha. Back when we were in 1aa we played mcneese state in 2004 and a few of us flew into Houston and drove over to lake Charles. Enjoyed their tailgate in terms of food but that was it. We tailgate well at GSU and looking forward to getting rowdy with you all.

Not our traditional flex triple option that we ran in the 80s and 90s with paul Johnson or in 2011 when we racked up 300+ yards against Bama or in 2013 when we beat the Florida Gators. We now run a triple option out of a pistol set. Still lots of motion and we run 90% of the time.
