Aside from the irony, it wasn't facetious. You realize you look silly and now you're backtracking.

Whatever. Rewind and watch as the shots go up next game and you explain to me how good of a coach he is at teaching blocking out. It's sad and pitiful. But in most of you fools eyes, WW can do no wrong right?

I was rewinding DIRECT tv as the game was going on. It didn't matter if it was a long 3 or a short range shot. Most of our players do not find a man to block out. They are brain dead.

The teams tied in rebounding at 40-40. So I presume you only rewound the times when they did not rebound.

Hahahahaha.

I love how the same retarded talking points get brought up again and again.

You should try watching the game.

We play a scrambling, aggressive, switch heavy style of defense where box out responsibilities get blurred. Our help defenders also try to steal and block everything (and they’re excellent at both those things). We’re going to give up some offensive rebounds.

A&M also had an awful shooting day from 3 so there were a lot of awkward misses and bounces that contributed to the issue

No. I don’t think he does. Because most if not all college coaches don’t have to “teach” how to rebound. This isn’t high school. They run drills, and they work gameplans.
If you think that the players aren’t rebounding well because they don’t know how, then I would guess you don’t know shot about basketball, and probably shouldn’t be commenting as such.

LSU players just stare at the ball and run towards the rim.
__________

Often they just stand there. These guys are more talented than most teams but there is a lot of standing around doing nothing while the other team is scrambling for the ball. And I guess it isn't cool anymore to "follow your shot" unless you play for aTm, who had at least one player get his own rebound and score. I wonder if LSU doesn't teach these things or are our players not following instructions.

If you have to teach College Kids how to block out, they shouldn't be on schollie.

Great point, it really worked out well for them last night. Following their shot led them to victory, oh wait.

We had the same number of rebounds as atm last night, i guess we got lucky with all the standing around and the ball just magically ended up in our hands.

Certainly! The problem is that most of the players are freshmen.
Fudge, Reid, Murray, Williams are all playing a lot of minutes.

I know this doesn’t work with your narrative, but LSU is 4th in the SEC in rebounds per game @ 39, UK’s first with 41.

Also 3rd in the SEC in total rebounds.

I think you're confusing a "big win" over a needed win.... or an expected win.... or a should easily win. Beating a team that's been skidding as bad as LSU has... isn't a big win.

Yes, that’s probably touched on. Actually, I saw 2-3 guys doing a good job of that last night ( although you would like all of them to do it ). Whether WW beats it home everyday in meetings, film and practice, I can’t say for sure. I do see some of the players do what you are talking about, but I think that’s just a laziness and the player thinking he will win with his athleticism and most times they don’t get the rebound and that is garbage in my opinion. A lot of today’s players are like that, their fundamentals suck.

In other news, Arkansas beat #1 Auburn last night. No way someone with Auburn's talent should lose to Ark. Auburn plays street ball, and have never been taught to block out. Pearl has to go. This team has quit on him.

If you actually paid attention and noticed how many times we get a foul called for blocking out, you wouldn’t ask such dumb questions.

Let's just pretend WW has never mentioned blocking out to his players.

Um. I'm possibly the worst basketball player in the history of basketball and, I know you're supposed to block out and hell, I even know HOW to do it.

Are you asserting that somehow, the players haven't heard of this thing?
