I thought they were relatively calm compared to years past. Vitello was also rather measured comparatively. I think he’s possibly maturing. We shall see. He’s had some complete tools for players historically and I’m not sure which takes the identity of the other.

I don’t have a problem with what the catcher did, as a former player. Great call. Ridiculous lead, unnecessarily by Milam, with a guy in front of him. I understand it w the 1B playing so far off. Catcher called a backside slider to allow 1B to get to bag on a sprint and took the chance the hitter would not swing. 1B was there. Pitcher missed out over the plate, and he still threw him out. Big momentum swing. Big play. Big nuts. I don’t understand you guys who love when we hit a bomb and celebrate but crap on everyone else who makes a great baseball play and celebrates it the same.

Pretty clear how many people on here truly understand the game.

I actually thought South Carolina’s players were worse which surprises me.

LSU does it just as much. Several guys were waiving at the SC dugout immediately after the win yesterday. Guidry is a complete tool. He’s just “your tool”.

You see this silly shite in college because the players aren’t allowed to police it themselves. In MLB running your mouth and other BS would quickly earn you 96 mph fastball to the ribs. MLB players know that. So they don’t do it.

If you want it gone let guys start wearing fastballs. If not, get over it

They’ve been the #1 team in the country probably more and longer than any other team over the last 3-4 years. They haven’t won a championship yet, but that doesn’t mean they won’t. A #1 ranking at any level is hard to obtain. Baseball is a game of swagger. In years past, they have taken it across the line. I don’t think this year was one of those teams though. Gilbert was the face of the team for a few years and a total tool. He gave them worse of a name than Tony V. To play baseball consistently and at a high level, you have to be a little bit crazy, and arrogant. You walk on the field knowing you’re going to fail more than succeed. Think about anything else you do in life. Tell me you’d keep doing it every day knowing the same. Then, revisit your statement.

Again, clearly not many people on this board who understand baseball as a game.

People on here used to love when Skenes fanned somebody and threw a finger up like, “Get the $@&! outta here!” but crap on anybody else with any swag.

USe doing what they did last night was Busch League crap. The play at home was a joke. Throwing at Braswell’s head in the prior inning when he squared to bunt (that nobody mentioned because nobody gets it) was Busch. They are much more of a joke than UT rt now. UT has earned the right to have some swagger. Give credit where it is due. Years past, I would agree. Not this year though.

Funny too, because he was the favorite for the majority of this board when LSU was looking for a coach.
