What sums it up is, he is an Acc , MAC, A10 type coach. He does well at that level but probably is not at the B1G10 or SEC level. But let's face it , not many others are either. He's an 8-4 sec coach

Inevitably, this is the sum of his coaching. Never quite putting it all together.
Funny that he preaches being ‘elite’ to the players, yet he’s not an elite coach.

My favorite moment with Kelly's handling of Nussmeier so far is when he approved of the QB sneak in the SLU game (it was SLU for the love of God) after revealing his torso injury earlier that week. That pretty much is one of several incidents that sums up CBK's status as not a detailed and elite coach.

All the fans and boosters who went all in on giving to LSU to help them remake the roster with the portal…to go 7-5 with all this talent…that would be it for me giving to LSU NIL with BK at the helm. To have twice as expensive a roster and a worse record…that’s awful incompetence. I agree with poster above…he won’t get fired this year no matter what. But a similar result next year and I think they figure out a way to move on. My mind is still blown that we have to even talk about 7-5 with a 18 million dollar roster…but horrible coaching makes it possible.
