Does the SEC get left out of the playoffs if the winner has 2 losses?

Oregon wins Pac 12 with 1 loss
Michigan St./Ohio St. win Big 10 with 1 loss
TCU/Kansas ST. wins Big 12 with one loss
Florida St. wins ACC with 1 loss
They say that a 2 loss team wont go in front of a 1 loss team out of the big 5 conferences. LSU fan base is hoping for LSU to win the conference with 2 losses. If the "Chaos Scenario" plays out, does the SEC get left out?

I don't see how if the SEC West teams have only lost to each other.

But they would still have 2 losses. While all those other teams only have one conference loss.

I say no. All the top SEC West teams (except LSU) are very highly ranked, and LSU should join them if we beat Bama. Hard to see a 2-loss champion from the West being left out.

I hope it doesn't but I also hope we get the chance to find out.

Unlikely. There will be at least one team from the SEC.

With the way this season is going it's pretty unlikely all four of those conference champs have one loss. One or two will have two losses.

They'd never leave the SEC out unless the conference champion had 3 losses and all other power conference champions have either no losses or 1.

As long as the perceived (and actual) strength of the SEC is so high, the SEC will essentially be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs every year. The only way the SEC is left out is if there are 4 undefeated power 5 teams and the SEC champ has 2 losses.

I think the committee would jump at the chance to leave out the SEC.

That is my fear also.

No. The SEC will have a team in the playoff i promise you

everyone will have 2 losses when it is all said and done (except FSU)

With what I saw in their first ranking and at this point, yeah

I don't think there is any way you get all four of those finishing with one loss, first of all. I'll note that you forgot to mention Notre Dame, but hopefully they'd get skipped over anyway.
If it did happen, it might depend on the team. If Georgia wins out, that might be a tough argument since the only West opponent of consequence will have been Auburn. If Auburn loses to Alabama, they could end up 5th in the SEC West.
If Miss. St. somehow wins the SEC West with two losses, that would be another poor candidate. Late losses are worse, they didn't beat anyone out of conference, and their only SEC East opponents were Kentucky and Vandy.
Anyone else, I don't see them getting left out.

Idk but it seems almost likely that its gonna happen
MSU has to play @ OM and @ Bama
Bama has to play @ LSU and vs Auburn and vs MSU
Auburn has to play @ Bama and @ Georgia
I mean, Id expect MSU will be predicted to lose those games, Bama will be predicted to lose to LSU, and AUburn will be predicted to lose one or both of theirs. At worst those games are toss ups since they are all on the road.

NO - SEC Champ is automatic even w/two losses - 3's a different story (won't happen)

The committee would joyously leave out a two loss SEC team. The rest of the nation would share their joy and righteousness.

I would bet these teams are most likely to lose their away games. You can bank on Bama winning at home. MSU will most likely lose to Bama and beat OM. OM will give MSU a good game at home. MSU is most likely to finish with one loss.
Let's not forget LSU has to beat Arkansas on the road. That is going to be our toughest game.
