We now have the technology; it’s time we use AI to review and make the calls. This is blatant cheatin.

AI can be manipulated depending on who sets it up. SEC rigging games is just a feature not a bug.

So, did I just imagine Bama running into our punter (next play after the BS disconcerting signals no-call)?

It's always the refs when you lose. There out to get us.

I just read the OP and that’s not what was stated.

Just about every fan in this thread agrees LSU would not have won the game anyway.

Do you thinks the refs did a decent and fair job last night?

It's not always bama and not always against LSU and it pisses me off every time. The GA / Auburn game had the awful call this season as a perfect example. Kirby's phantom TO call is another

It’s 90% for Alabama. I’ve always seen it against us, but a few years ago I saw how Alabama was playing shitty early in the game against South Carolina, and SC was able to move the ball. That is until the refs started throwing obvious bullshite flags to stop their momentum, and give Bama a chance to get their bearings. Alabama ended up winning that game comfortably, but it would’ve been a lot scarier for them, had the refs not interfered the way they did. It was disgraceful then, and nothing has changed.

It’s common reaction to games in Tuscaloosa. They do get every call, opponents get marked short on every close 3rd down, they can take cheap shots at the opponent QB & nothing happens. It’s complete bullshite. As a Tennessee fan, we live with the exact same bullshite every 2 years.

and there complete no flag moment when an LSU players was tackled and flung out of bounds. Fragrant penalty,...uncalled, and it was a very crucial non call for LSU to keep a drive going. IF that was LSU flinging a bama player ob, every official on the field would have thrown their flag .
There were other similar in the game....it has been that way for 50 years though. SEC in Birmingham is beyond corrupt and I have seen it up close and personal in Birmingham.

I'm not sure to what degree (if any) the game was unfairly officiated last night.

One thing that was UNDISPUTABLE AND OBVIOUS:

The officials were breaking their necks to review ANY possible reversals on certain positive LSU plays, and completely ignored any replay review of a couple of Bama plays that warranted review IMO.

It is what it is. It will never change. It’s been going on forever. The worst was in 2018 when Devin White got a bullshite targeting penalty in the game before the Alabama game so that he had to sit out the first half against Alabama.

No. Losers blame refs.

Tidbit, no one is blaming the loss on the refs. Got it now?

Haven’t seen this mentioned because they didn’t show a replay, but when MVB had a problem w his helmet that cost a timeout, it was because of him sliding and getting hit in the head. I rewinded it and took a pic of the bama linebacker crown down straight into his helmet. Don’t know how to post it, but rewind and look. No replay and no review. Just another one that would have been a first down. All those reviews, but not that?

Zavion got tossed when he was 5 yards OOB and they said “oh well the ref wasn’t looking”

Yeah, that one was ridiculous. So bad that even the announcers spent some time talking about it.

And if nothing else, that play certainly feeds the perception that Bama wasn't going to be held to a strict standard. Meanwhile, Van Buren enters the game and suddenly they have to review any play that has a positive outcome

Then, there was the counting incident. WTF was that even about?

I'm not going to say 'corruption' necessarily, but at the very least how about gross incompetence?
We don't need to watch a game and have 5+ moments where the referees are completely taking the game over. The fact that they all happened to benefit just 1 team... that's another story.

I think ESPN knows their top SEC teams need to make the playoffs for revenue and ratings so they tip the scales in big games to prevent upsets.

Not to mention us not scoring allowed Bama to cover....a whole new layer of corruption.

Sorry, it is blatant corruption. It is obvious and has been going on for decades now. It isn't incompetence when it is this consistent across the board. Again, it isn't just Bama games they are rigging, at least not this year.

The three worst calls (or in the Zavion case - no call) all came from the same referee.

1. Zavion no call
2. Punt/touchback
3. Motion/linebacker clapping, dline moving.

I was going to point that out this morning. Someone on social media pointed this out as well. I'm sure he got paid very well for his work and will be back to rig more games next weekend.

What I need to do is start researching what crews go where, and start placing bets appropriately. This would make watching this shite show much more tolerable in the future.

And of course, you know Bama alum are running the instant replay garbage, so the Bama coaching staff never has to worry about challenging anything. Even if they miss it, Bham will call in, stop the game, and make sure they get it. Or even worse, just simply make it up and tell you what you saw wasn't real, like they did Saturday night.

I saw that too. We were wanting to see the replay but they never showed.
