Hope not, it’s stupid. Put them in a ring of honor in the stadium, not utilizing numbers is just silly though.

I’m honestly surprised that the Yankees haven’t started moving to letters on their jerseys

It's incredibly stupid when you lose a recruit because he can't have his favorite number. Yes this happens.

Yea, cause assigning specific numbers to potential skill players has definitely worked well for us in the past.

Hope not. Give him a statue and maybe name in the stadium.

So many rantards head would explode if 7, 18, 5 and 9 were given to select players. They have a very difficult time handling the two.

What about Crews' & Skeenes' numbers?

Hang their jerseys up. Honor them. But don’t retire numbers. 20 should live on. That number belongs to LSU and another player wearing it only adds another opportunity to further its legacy. Same goes for 9 and 5 and 7 and 18. Let those numbers continue in the service of LSU just as the players who wore them before.

IMO, no.

Retired jerseys should be reserved for those who play their entire career here. For example, retire Dylan Crews but not Paul Skenes. IMHO.

He won an SEC in '70. Beyond his control and I don't recall the details, but '69 had a chance to play but ND changed their policy and the Cotton Bowl chose them over us to play TX.

Their numbers are not retired. Cannon is the only player to have his number retired.

LMAO!! You proved my point you dumbass*. They retired his jersey not his number. Someone might want to tell Noah Cain he shouldn’t have been wearing Stovall’s number this year. LOL.

There is no stadium ring of honor. Those are players who have had their jerseys retired.

I personally think it should be retired and that should be the standard for any Heisman winner.

"#20 should live on"? I am a Cannon fan because of my age but he was a convicted Federal felon, serving time in a Federal pen. My point is if HE is honored, there should be no one automatically ignored if qualified, by whatever criteria is now applied.
