No, but do you know what does? Here are a few things:

1) Three straight horrible losses.
2) Two losses in a row to a mediocre Arkansas team, one of which was "in the place where opponents' dreams come to die."
3) Our continuing systemic failure to develop an adequate QB
4) Our, once again, best ever OL that collapses mid-season.
5) Five straight losses to the team that we compare ourselves against as the class of the West (we should all rethink that proposition).
6) Our continuing floundering excuse for an offense.
7) Our recent lackluster bowl record.

There you go. Playing TT is a symptom, not the disease.

We're in a mediocre bowl, playing a mediocre opponent, after a mediocre season. They better just worry about winning.

i don't think it's a question of if it hurts the image of our program, but rather how much it hurt the image of our program

Going from undefeated and #2 in the country, with the best running back in cfb, then getting your arse beat three weeks in a row and falling out of the Top 25 in three weeks . . . THAT is what hurts the image of your program.

Throw in the Miles firing shite show and you have the image of LSU football in the trash can.

Only way to change it is to Just Win Baby!

Auburn is playing Memphis
Cal is playing Air Force
Ms State is playing NC State

So wtf is your point?

Would you rather not be bowl eligible? Would that make you happy?

Playing a school from Lubbock, Texas in the Nothing-Burger Bowl can only enhance the prestige of LSU football.

Losing to TX Tech would hurt LSU's image. LSU has no control over the opponent against whom it is paired or in which bowl it was assigned. It's all about:
1. Who will sell the most tix?
2. Which match-up will draw the most viewers?

#1 is bolstered by the Fake Australian Food Bowl's preference for SEC East team w/ inferior records instead of SEC West teams for 15+ yrs until LSU played there after the '13 season. #2 is proven by past yrs when 6-5 Big 10 teams would go to bowls instead of 8+ win MAC teams.

A loss to Tech will absolutely crush LSU on a national level.

Not sure how to take this thread. It butt hurts if we lose for sure. We certainly cant take anyone lightly, previous thread was right, it was embarrassing to lose to Clemson a few years ago. Under Les we tend to play down to talent, we should win but until we do nothing is guaranteed with LSU. I just hope we are prepared to play 60 minutes.

FOREVER LSU

They have no control? How about winning all their games - that would give them control.

Dude is trolling. Same exact thread from 2011 when a Kansas State fan made the same title regarding Arkansas. That thread was huge with news agencies reporting it after Arkansas fans flocked to it and of course making a big stink.
