No. I can't remember who played in the New Year's six last year. Very few remember other than the fans of those teams who gobbled up T-shirts. The only teams remembered by and large are the four in the playoffs. Other than that, they're all just bowls.

I don't remember who played in the Near Year six. Hardly anyone does, other than the fans of those schools. If it's not the final four, every bowl is the same. No one remembers other than the fans who scarfed up T-shirts.

With the new format I would say the opponent would be more important than the bowl game. I would much rather some of the bigger programs with similar records, than play Texas Tech in the Houston bowl. The payout matters to the schools but the matchups are what affects me most.
With that said, if LSU is playing, I'm watching.
