Sometimes life is all about timing. Nuss should have declared last year when his draft stock was the highest. His stock must have plummeted since the Clemson game. Not only will he not be a top pick at this point, he probably should not even be QB1 on this LSU team. Honestly the LSU player he reminds me the most of is Brandon Harris. For Nuss's sake I hope he was truly injured and can get healthy and play better the rest of this year.

He’s a fricking millionaire playing a boys game for the entertainment of beer drinking fans.
If he cannot provide proper entertainment he should get a proper degree to prepare for his future.

Yes
A lot depends on what system he gets drafted into

You can be in QB purgatory if not in the right system - look at Mayfield and Darnold
Even Mac Jones looks way more competent this season

JD and JB are generational talents. And best 2 College QBs last 15 years.
Please stop the comparisons. Not fair to Nuss.
They are quite literally 2 of top 5 QBs on the planet right now

That's a lofty comparison though.

If Spencer Rattler can get a starting job in the NFL, then Nuss can earn a contract somewhere. It's all timing and fit.

If he can work on the deep ball accuracy when healthy

His deep ball accuracy was fine when he had All Pro WRs like Burrow and Daniels. Remember the Georgia SEC Championship?

Burrow and Daniels were great in their second year with their receivers.

Chase, Jefferson, Thomas, Nabers, throw the ball up close to them and they would go get it.

Who do we have now that comes close to their talent?

I would buy this if Nuss was a good QB but not Heisman winner. Nuss isn’t playing like an above average QB and nothing but himself or injury is responsible for that.

A step down.

He has good arm strength, footwork, anticipation, pocket presence, and toughness.

His accuracy is good on short and intermediate throws. His deep ball accuracy, when he's 100% healthy, is ok, but not pinpoint like Jayden's a couple years ago.

His poise is good if he trusts his OL. If he doesn't, he gets happy feet.

His mobility is good, he's just not as willing of a runner as you would hope when the play breaks down.

If JB and JD were were A's, I think Nuss is a B. He has the tools, but he's not as plug-and-play ready as the others.

He’s hurt you moron. He had a rocket launcher last year. Where did that magically disappear to? On a side note, your reading comprehension is absolute shite. Arm strength does not equal accuracy. Try to keep up, dumbass.

With the New Orleans Saints with their first pick in the draft, yes.

No he doesn’t. Joe can make any throw on the field Nuss not so much.

NFL teams in today’s game want mobility as part of their QB. Not necessarily dual threat but have the ability to escape the pocket. Nuss doesn’t have it.

We’ll just have to disagree on the arm strength. As far as mobility, I think Nuss has excellent ability to escape the pocket; he just doesn’t do much with it once he escapes. He has started to the last two games; let’s see if it continues.

The main thing holding Nuss back is just decision making. I don’t know if that will ever get fixed; it might just be what he is. He’s a good QB. The main problem with Nuss is that we got used to Burrow and Daniels.

Agree. Nuss wasn't even in the latest mock draft of first round on ESPN.com

He currently doesn't have the mental acuity to be in the NFL. . .honestly, I don't think he's ever had it.

I would love to see his scores on the Wonderlic test and the S2 Cognition Evaluation.

IMO he’s injury prone, abhors contact and careless with the ball! Would be an extremely poor investment for any NFL team in any round of the draft.

the short answer is yes, of course, Nussmeier has a future in the NFL.

i don't currently see any area where he is better than JB or JD, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a future. His "future in the NFL" depends on what team, what coaches and what situation he lands in. In the right environment, i think Nuss can thrive as a NFL QB or QB2.
