He was a pretty big piece of that run. Especially his performance vs Bama

Could they still have sent wire to wire like that if they didn’t have CEH? Sure another back could have stepped in but I just don’t know if any other back would be able to do what he did.

Clyde was huge picking up blocks as well. He was a massive part of that offense

Impossible to say as not having him changes the play calling.

Probably better than 50/50 they still win it but would be more nervy for sure.

Do we win that Bama game w/o him? Probably not ;)

They don’t go undefeated therefore they might not even win it all. Hell had they lost to Bama we wouldn’t have went to the SEC championship

We don't beat bama without him. He made 5 plays that continued drives for tds, that I still don't quite understand the how, physically. Few catches half inch off ground, driving through lbs with 40 more lbs weight on him.

He was actually snubbed another 1st down as well, when he fell on defenders back, and got a horrible spot by the ref.

He got everything out of his God given talent + unrelenting will that night. Was truly special to see. The end him losing it on the sideline just showed how much it meant to him, and took out of him. What a performance, game, season

He basically won the Alabama game himself.

True. He was a machine that game.

That said, we probably blowout Bama if we don't turn the ball over on that opening drive of the 2nd half. To quote Les Miles, we had to play in "tight quarters" the rest of the way because of that, and CEH made every play required of him. That's the game Andy Reid fell in love with him.

Depends on how well we would have recruited Travis Etienne otherwise.

At the beginning of the season, the Rant bitched because he was starting over Emery and TDP, so they must have been better. Coaches were obviously going with seniority over talent.

Bama’s game plan was focused on Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson. And Clyde destroyed them.

Probably. Bama would have been the challenge.

Nope we do not. CEH was a huge part of the offense we knew we could sling it but if we had to run it we could count on Clyde. We had a bunch of freshman running backs yes they were good but also unproven. Remember when Burrow kicked Emery out of the game for not doing his job. I remember.

Again it’s impossible to say, the game plan and play calling would not have been the same.

I really don't think so. He was unstoppable in the Alabama game
