I would assume but dont know how it works. We did split but looked not deseving of a no.1 ranking for 16 of the 18 innings we played.

Why would they?

Because there’s a team right below us that had a better weekend. It’s not necessarily us dropping, more of other teams jumping us.

20-9 or 19-10 would be fine. Just get a national seed

The voters don't actually watch the game.

It’s surprising how low key tough our schedule has been. Came into this weekend vs USCe who had the best record in baseball and now Kentucky our next opponent currently has the best record in baseball. Preseason neither of these teams were ranked and now both are in the top 10. I don’t think LSU gets penalized for splitting a series against USCe for how hot they’ve been. If they do drop, then we’ll see how LSU responds next weekend. A sweep of UK at home and they will jump right back to #1.

I think FL moves to #1 with a sweep and we drop to #2.

Have you seen their conference schedule? They’re not jumping LSU

Probably true for football and hoops but definitely not baseball. Baseball pollsters are fanatics of the college game

Just keep winning series and it doesn’t matter
I don’t want #1 national seed
That team hasn’t made Omaha recently

You get another top opponent in uk next week
They rained out today as well and play two 7 inning games tomorrow
Our pitching will be well rested

They lost midweek to Elon and have yet to play this weekend. I’m not sure even a sweep of NC State combined with that midweek loss would get them over LSU

Lol. If they sweep nc st. They would def deserve it. Losing a midweek game wouldnt matter

Shouldn’t. Skenes got run from the game at 50 pitches due to weather.

If no weather maybe he keeps SC down and LSU comes back and wins.

Clearly SC should have moved the entire series up but probably thought using the weather to interrupt games and burn LSU pitching, especially Skenes, would benefit them

Not because of USCe more because Florida looks pretty damn good.

LSU keeps getting injuries it's starting to not look like our year because of this. Damn shame if they can't bring one home having Crews on this roster.

Wake Forest baseball lost to Elon 5-3 this past Tuesday. Their series with N.C. State starts today, no games played yet.

Probably not. They played the #6 team on the road and split the series. If they just look at the score from Friday that may swing some votes, but anyone who paid attention would know that the rain delay and the overall situation caused that cluster.

It would be nice to see LSU go wire to wire as the #1, but rankings really don't matter a great deal right now. LSU's SEC schedule was front-loaded, and going forward they should dominate provided they can solidify the backend of their weekend pitching rotation. So, even if they do slip this week, I would expect them to be right back at #1 before long.

They'll drop in some polls, but not all of them.

Who cares, Rpi in top 5 and 40 + wins in regular season makes you top 3 overall seed.

Man, playing a top 10 match up on the road and splitting the two games we got in and your wondering about the polls?

Really?
