I don't know.
The other thread speculates 72 hours. I am not sure if 48 hours would be enough time logistically to pull it off.
When the South Carolina game was moved the announcement was made on Wednesday.

I agree with the picture. It's going to stay off the coast far enough that G'ville will be ok. Game on Saturday morning in the swamp.

If Gainesville is inside the cone or probability or under hurricane watch/warning for Friday we will not play in gainesville

This will be an extremely touch call for all involved.
With even a threat, you can't bring 2 universities and 90,000 fans together. It's not worth the risk IMO. Safety is paramount these days and an unpredictable hurricane is potentially far more damaging than a concussion....and look at the lengths that are gone to in order to prevent those with student athletes

I want to play I just can't see LSU officials, SEC, NCAA, whoever is in charge allowing a team to fly into an area that will likely be in a state of emergency.

Although not optimal, I could see this game perhaps being played in Gainesville on Sunday. The storm will be long gone by then and if there isn't any major damage/other logistical issues, Sunday shouldn't be discounted as an option.
I say this because LSU may not be able to safely travel into Gainesville on Friday due to the possibility of tropical storm conditions there. By Saturday, this won't be an issue.

This all depends on the number of evacuees from southern FL that Gainesville may get and how airports are running going into the weekend, and also the amount of wind that gainesville gets to knock out power.
Just heard from hanni on the radio, there techincally is not cut off time to make a decision just like the SC game last year but to be practical they would announce by tomorrow.
there is a meeting at noon today to discuss options. IMO, there will be another meeting or talk later this afternoon/evening when the storm becomes a tad more predictable.

Agreed, but they would have to make that call sometime tomorrow or thursday and if there is more damage than expected then what is play?

From Dellenger's twitter:
On radio, @C_Hanagriff says #LSU & #Florida administrators will meet at noon to discuss hurricane. Both have met individually this AM.

Unless something major changes, I don't see this game being played at the Swamp.

At noon today, there will be a conference call with all #LSU + Florida parties, concerning football game, per Charles Hanagriff.

This is why I think it will moved. No way they can say for sure about this. A small jog east or west can make a huge impact and the timing of it leaves them little to no window to wait.

FWIW, Florida's open date is the weekend that LSU plays Ole Miss, so Ritter & Company can't try to screw us by making us play the Gators before Bama.
Because referees are over things like that

Here is the gfs forecast for the game. The storm gets just close enough to maybe compelle inland tropical storm warnings for the counties east of gainsville but unless the track shifts further west I doubt it will affect the stadium much. The uncertainty and having to make a decision several days in advanced may be the only reason that this game is moved.
LINK
After the latest model runs id say there is a 75% chance this game is moved - announced tomorrow.
