This board has enjoyed smashing the hell out of this guy this year when times have been tough, but when something good happens? Crickets and tumbleweed.

Dude had to supervise a revolving door on the O-line yesterday with injuries during the game. He had to figure out who to put where several times, especially when Clapp went out for a little while. Were they perfect? No...but they held together and got the job done.

If you are going to rip him, at least give credit where it's due.

While this team is still very bad, I will credit everyone yesterday. We played with more heart and purpose. Nice to beat Florida anytime

Still have a lot of problems. hopefully we can be competitive with Auburn. Scared they will kill us at home

Considering we had..

- 2 sacks & 2 QB hurries (on 16 attempts, 1 in every 4 attempts)

- without the jet sweep, which doesn't work in the SEC right?, we avg'd less than 3 ypc. Yes I realize that they block on those too, but the point I'm making is on traditional run plays how did we perform

I keep seeing where people blame O for our depth problems, stating 'he was the recruiting coordinator for years' when this is factually untrue. Fact is, Grimes has been here since 2014.

And this is an observation- I am still seeing fundamental mistakes. Bad technique and obvious blown assignments... that I've seen before, by the same players.

Has there been improvement? Yes. I'd say I've seen more out of every other unit however. They've started out behind, and are further behind compared to the rest of the team.

Grimes was much more active on the sidelines this game. Not that he's ever been much of a 'hands in pocket' guy. And I will give him credit that he was on top of any OL pulled out of the game, he was coaching. No sitting on the bench sulking.

But for the most part... I ain't giving Grimes frick all.

We managed to hide the OL for a good bit yesterday with a ton of end-arounds & jet sweeps, although they did start opening up the middle at times. That being said, our pass protection is hard to watch.

I give him credit for running off at least three OT's in the past year and a half.

Damm straight, Orgeron gave him hardly anything to work with. But did he scare away a lot of recruits? Why? How?

I'll tip my cap to yesterday's performance, but let's not act like the asshat hasn't been at LSU for 4 years to create his own line

What good happened on the OL. It was obviously the weak link yesterday.

Nope. Deculus would have been ready if he was doing his job.

What good happened? How about 200 plus yards rushing with 3 true freshman playing. Cannot stand people who cannot recognize effort and success under duress. Issues abound but proud of the players effort and happy they are smiling today.

This thread in its own odd way illustrates the fact that the negative fans are the "vocal minority". The OP has 24 upvotes and 4 downvotes, yet every single comment in the thread is negative.

I believe this woman is a native Floridian. The converted yanks just stare with their ice cold stares they perfected up north.

We still can't really pass block very well. I don't know what game you watched, but the Oline barely held its own against Florida.

I'll give him some credit - with as many as 3 true freshmen playing at times, the unit has started to gel - a little - makes me optimistic for the future.
