What does this mean? How can one be a “quiet” basher? And I’m not a Johnson basher, but if the team plays like shite, then they play like shite. No reason to sugarcoat it.

Pearson shpuld be the DH against RHP

Pearson has less hits in the CWS than Frey.

If you guys are disappointed in Frey stats, you should look up Pearson for this year and his previous trip to Omaha before calling for him to replace Frey.

He is able to get on base with walks. He extends at bats while fouling off the close ones and has a good eye for ball/strikes. He’s a good batter and we need him. Games like today is when he will get an important hit to bring in some runs that will help us win it.

We don't beat Arkansas without his walk in the 9th. And that was a hell of an at bat after getting behind in the count.

I think this has been Johnson's best coaching job by far (add to that the pitching coach) because the hitting has been terrible. And, to get this far is pretty amazing.

When you realize the coach you bashed is about to win 2 titles in 4 years, you have no choice but to be a quiet basher

Daisy pickers until 10u, then quit after coaches pitch. We’ve got em all here. My favorite are the travel ball parents who get 10 players willing to put up $1000 weekends to travel the south and then buy a big shiny 4th place oversized ring in a Flora, MS. 4 team tournament.

What bashing have I done? The only outright bashing I’ve done was one thread when we kept getting our asses whipped last season.

Now, go frick yourself, Lester.

Any Johnson hater at this point has a room temperature iq. 2 CWS trips with Zona 2 CWS trips with LSU a title and on the cusp of his 2nd in 3 years. Jay has stacked talent every year here, dominates high school recruiting and is relentless in the portal. He eats sleeps and drinks baseball, he is basically the Saban of college baseball. I view last year as Sabans 2010 year at bama, post title year and the program stepped back due to things but the next year he fixed it and was off with his dynasty. Jay is just getting started.

I think that at this point, you might as well give Jay the benefit of the doubt on just about any call or decision in the postseason. Regardless of what happens from here on, he’s brought us to the CWS Finals in 2 of his 4 years at the helm. Of the 4 times that he’s brought any of his teams to the CWS, three of them have made the final. That’s an incredible track record.

Yea I guess they continuously forget that hitting elite pitching is really hard even for an elite hitter much less an ok to pretty good hitter at times like Frey and Jones.
