1. Because games are supposed to be entertaining.
2.Because Nuss really is hurt and needs to rest and heal.
3. A backup quarterback who probably won't start ever after this year doesn't need to redshirt.
4. Because we play for pride and every game counts. I would rather watch a game we win rather than another loss.

After saying all that, I still give Nuss a chance to see what he can do against Bama but if he doesn't produce he sits.

Nuss is too injured to protect himself. You can’t be like BK and keep trotting out a player that is too injured to meet the standard required to perform effectively enough to win a game.

The coach has to step in and shut the player down for that player’s long term health.

Nuss may not understand this in the short term, but will appreciate it at some point in the future.

Yall are idiots, the Oline is trash. It doesnt matter who is out there at qb. Nuss has been a warrior for this team, getting hit left and right from the turnstiles at the tackle positions. Was clearly hurt half of the season, and has no run game to take pressure off the qb

Screw over MVB?

He is a grown man. He can make the decision to play or not.

We can’t worry about protecting red shirts these days, players wyransfer all the time so the red shirt ends up for some other school. Thats happening with Stamps now. BK was gone to protect him and a RS and now he’s gone. Play the kids you paying them!

This season is cooked. Why would you burn Van Burens read shirt for a chance at Belkin Bowl?

I can pretty much guarantee you MVB doesn’t give two shits about that RS.

This is pre-NIL thinking Is it screwing him over if he goes and balls out the last 4 games and bowl game and gets a fat NIL deal next year?

Exactly. It’s serves no one to continue to play Nuss.

Unfortunately I don’t think Nuss will be benched unless the powers that be have a conversation with him about sitting out and a press release that he’s injured. Probably would be best case for Nuss to get his head right, heal, and prepare for the draft.

I think it would be best for all involved for the Nuss era to end with the BK era.

It would be easy, just tell everyone that he aggravated an injury vs aTm and will miss the last 4 games getting healthy so he’s ready for the combine.

It would allow him to do just that.

It would also help MVB by getting some film out there for other schools if he decides to hit the portal (yes he’d lose a redshirt but he may be willing to do that to show what he can do)

It would also help whoever the next coach at LSU is to see if MVB is a guy to try and keep on the roster as next years QB. Especially as I think most of us expect LSU will have a down year in the portal with the coaching transition.

We can't screw over MVB now if Im being honest, and I hate Nuss.

You played MVB twice already. He can only play 2 more games before he blows a red shirt, which would be stupid.

You probably see Nuss until he either gets hurt or we run up the score and then we finally see Hurley for a drive or two.
This is the same dumbass thinking that had Nuss with eligibility to come back and frick us in the end.

Play MVB.

I don’t think this season as nearly as “cooked” as people believe.

The problem was Kelly. Some people saw it from the jump. I realized it last year. Some people realized it during Tech. But now everyone knows it.

You have roster talent to compete with Bama. You win there, the team is juiced. Finish 9-3. You could sneak in to an at large bid.

They aren’t sitting Nuss. They are going to want to prove they can function with him. And if not, then yeah, they will sit him.

Obviously idk if this is true, but I've heard the main reason MVB isn't starting now is because he isn't doing the little things correctly. He doesn't come in on time, he doesn't put extra work in with the WR's after practice. He apparently is just going with the motion. Idk how true any of that is, but I've heard them say that. Which is why Nuss has been starting

Who is them? And why are they telling you?

And from all accounts, Nussmeier didn’t put the work in either. Which shows.
