re: Does anyone still believe that Jeremy Hill is/was a better back than Fournette?

Fournette has had better games than hill and he is only 2 games into his sophomore season.
you dont really believe that, do you?

Fournette looks like the Heisman front runner right now and he is a Sophomore, Hill was never in the Heisman conversation
that's not really his fault. LF7 is getting heisman hype b/c now LSU is expected to be good. if we slide, the hype will slide
jeremy hill is the standard and we will see how fournette's stats line up. hill is severely underrated by many fourtards on this board

Hill, Bo, Herschel
guess which one holds the SEC record for YPC in a season
anyone?

Would love to see LF with a Heisman before he leaves us. I love his role. He will get his yards but I also believe it takes the focus off of Harris and it looks like he is thriving.

Nick Chubb
ETA: FWIW, I agree with you about Hill's vision. It was on an otherworldly level. But Fournette's vision is lightyears ahead of where it was this time last year and his physical gifts far outweigh Hills (although Hill may have had better balance).
The biggest contrast is that they just have different running styles. Hill prefers to be more evasive whereas it seems Fournette seeks contact at times.

while Hill was an amazing talent. He didn't bring the physical running style Fournette does and that is what separates him.
well hill was more explosive, so there is a trade off both ways
it's too early to make a decision one way or another. LF7 has faced 2 weak/mediocre Ds. we'll have a much better idea after bama and ole miss

what are hills best games?
how do they compare to our first two games already this season
LF has 6 TDs and 398 yards rushing. 8.2 YPC.
I understand hill was in a different system, but based on the start to this season Fournette has put together some of the best RB stats in LSU history.

Why make this thread ? This times 100. Why people why? Another needless post.

if you take the top 3 rushing games from each, Hill has 2 of the top 3. Remember Iowa bowl game? Or Hill's coming out party vs Auburn?
Posted on 9/20/15 at 9:24 am to Lester Earl
probably Hill. But YPC can be misleading, because sometimes players will thrive on big plays, but the best running backs are guys who can go in and take a beating all game and still move the ball.

Hill had 3 seasons to have games, Fournette has only had 1 season plus 2.1 games.
I suspect Fournette's stats will be much higher than hills.
But it doesn't really matter, we are comparing a Porche to a Mercedes. Both a great.

i prefer RBs who lead to TDs because scoring more points wins the game
this is the keiland williams argument from 2007 all over again

Hill did both, were you in a coma in 2013?

Jeremy Hill has the highest YPC in a season in SEC history among backs with 200 or more carries
Posted on 9/20/15 at 9:31 am to Lester Earl
don't get me wrong LF7 had some great runs with highlight reel action going on, but hill would take many of those "big play" opportunities to the house on the right line. his read/vision allowed him to avoid the defenders eliminating the chance of the highlight juke/truck

LF doesn't lead to TDs?
I agree that this is a silly argument, fwiw.

Pretty sure Chubb broke his record.
