We're not top 10 when we barely skate by South Carolina after OM dominated them from the jump, and we lost to a very average USC team.

We're 8-4 until proven otherwise.

OK hotshot, maybe we will lose 3 games...maybe. But, please tell me about all the great SEC teams that you think are so much better than LSU. Tell me about all the great wins for each team? Texas....they have played one SEC game, against by far the worst SEC team out there, and struggled mightily for a half against them....

Just enjoy the season, the moment of possibility, and my anticipation of a great upcoming Saturday against a longtime rival in Tiger Stadium.
Maybe we’ll win, maybe we’ll lose, but I am looking forward to the rest of the season.
I’m not sure why some seem to revel in gloom and doom. We haven’t lost a single one of the games we haven’t played, and we’re one of only three undefeated teams in league play on the seventh week of the season.

LSU's lack of a solid defense, and the injuries on the side of the ball, will sink them against Ole Miss, Alabama and A&M. Even though the scheme is right, tackling is still atrocious

LOL....I sometimes wonder how some of you find your way home each day after work, assuming you ever leave the couch.

SC also dominated by 25 points a team that beat OM....as for SC....OM was gifted the first 14 points on turnovers.....that's all it took. I think the mighty OM offense scored 3 second half points.

You think Texas is great...hell they were in for a dogfight against by far the worst team in the SEC, maybe ever, for a half. Get over yourself.

LSU doesn't have a gimmick offense....they have a pro-style offense that is very hard to stop...as long as the D continues to improve, LSU will have a shot in every game. But, keep on putting them down.

And yet South Carolina dominated UK “from the jump” who dominated OM “from the jump”

What does it mean?

because some have been against LSU week to week, and would rather be right than for LSU to have some good wins. It is almost like they are getting upset when LSU doesn't lose, because they were wrong about LSU.

LSU can hang with any team on their remaining schedule, but will need to take a business approach, instead of getting too high on a particular week. There is no room for let downs with the schedule remaining. I wish we played State or Auburn, like in the past, as they are the worst two teams in the league.

Absolutely. Are you blind? Our team as a whole is definitely trending up.

Offense is becoming balanced and spreads the ball around. Need to continue to establish the run.

Defense up front is good. Breaux, Jones, swinson, weeks and Penn are all great tacklers and Baker has been dialing up pressure very good. The secondary just needs to continue to develop much like the run on offense. Anyone who says our D is just like last season clearly doesn’t know ball.

The fundamental tackling is there this year. There’s not missed tackles left and right like there were in 2023. Back to the O, if they really go all in on Durham and he becomes what we think he can become, LSU is absolutely a legitimate threat. Not only for the CFP but the SEC. Looking at how UGA and Bama have looked, I don’t see why LSU couldn’t find their way to ATL. Texas is the big dog to take down as of now.

My doubts are due to overall depth on D and just the safeties in general. If our D continues to find itself, a big if, this team will be hard to beat moving forward.

Yes this is key, we've been much better on the d-line that I could ever have expected and with young guys like Breaux and McKinley getting in and getting more and more experience it's just looking better each week.

At linebacker, Winn is getting the experience he needs to eliminate the metal errors like the one that played a part in the long TD at South Carolina and Penn is a solid veteran who is playing better this year.

But on the back end we have guys with experience but not the talent we need and the guys who do have more talent don't have the experience needed. On the coaches to cover that up as best we can and lean on the strengths up front. I actually think we can pressure Dart without having to blitz much.

Yes. Have get better every week. Penn State is 7th. Played UCLA about the same as LSu.

Tennessee lost. USC lost. Overrated Missouri lost Michigan lost. Bama lost. No team is particularly great.

Next week - Absolutely

If we can take down Ole Miss, LSU will definitely be in the top 10. Are we really a top 10 team in the country? I agree with you that currently we're not a top 10 team, but if we can pull off wins against Ole Miss, Arkansas and A&M, I would definitely consider ourselves worthy of being in the top 10.

imo that is due to schedule and that they are experienced. Early in the year, that matters more....but as the season goes on, the younger teams are finding their feet and playing better and better. Texas was in a dogfight for a half against a very bad Ms State team. Texas just hasn't played anyone yet...time will tell.
