Does anybody think the Ole Miss athletic department is behind these moves?

Between kiffin “wronging” them in their words, them trying to take LSU to court for two current tigers, and all the “anonymous quotes” from coaches in the SEC that are just straight up slandering LSU one has to think that Keith Carter and other people in the ole Miss Athletic department are in on feeding info or even lying to sankey and SEC officials about what LSU and kiffin are doing.
It’s almost like Ole Miss has been protected this entire offseason for not facing a single penalty for their injunction for a 6th year QB who was never actually that sick beyond something that takes two weeks max to recover from and blatantly tampering with a LB from another team, which is basically the exact thing Sankey and the sec are trying to sue LSU and kiffin for in the Alabama court. I dunno, it all just seems very strange to me….

No, this is the NCAA and Sanky

They are a part of it most definitely.
As are probably most of the SEC teams. Anyone we threaten in competition.

If Sankey and other schools are dumb enough to let Keith Carter and ole Miss influence their actions then that might be a good sign we are better off away from them.
Ole Miss doesn’t bring near what LSU does in the pecking order of sec teams. We have the better overall athletic program, our football, basketball and baseball history crushes them. We have the bigger boosters and deeper pockets. Anyone that would let ole Miss stir up having us kicked out would be a retard.

He’ll yeh. It will come out or at least I hope it does

No the SEC doesnt really give a shite what Ole Miss does or thinks.
This is Sankey and his animosity towards LSU going back at least to the Florida hurricane game. And he is being backed by Bama georgia and probably Texas

they don't have that kind of stroke

Well Sankey didn’t even read the 5 for 5 rule before going to testify at a court case about the 5 for 5 rule, so I wouldn’t put him listening to a poverty program and protecting them out of the question

Georgia for sure because we are in the way of them getting back and they know Lane has more potential than me let’s guys that kill people on the road play in his program.

If the SEC keeps going, every SEC AD will be deposed and asked about their university's specific involvement. The SEC is being really stupid and belligerent in this entire thing.

This is true, to be the leader of a conference and not have read the rules is pretty dumb. However Sanky has a very long track record of mistake after mistake that has taken the SEC from top conference to clearly behind the big 10.
Sankey has been out smarted over and over by the big10. The playoff push and expansion, the media rights deals, them tricking him into 9 games, this mess right here with the players. The big10 isn’t being drug into court over and over and they managed to not sue one of their members and also managed to not get two of their members into lawsuits.
Sankey managed to drive the sec car straight into the ditch.

They don’t have that kind of clout.

This is the fault of NCAA and the Gump Alumni Association (SEC Office)

Looking forward to a lot of new thoughts on this thread.

I think that and Alabama. Both know with Kiffin at LSU, they are in trouble. I think they will lead the charge in the expulsion of LSU from the league.

The hypocrisy of the SEC and Ole Miss is staggering.
Trinidad Chambliss….
Has played college football 5 years
2021 red shirt
2022 back up ( now. in 2026, claims he has a cold and should get medical RS for this year)
2023 back up
2024 starter
2025 ole miss 1.7 in NIL- not considered a pro athlete
2026 His 6th year of playing gets denied by NCAA , sues, gets 2022 medical redshirt and SEC does nothing. Getting @ 5 million in NIL- not considered a pro athlete.
Zxavian Harris
He was not granted his 5th year of eligibility he had left in college until August. He never practiced or attended a pre season game. Received $190 in gas money from New Orleans Saints. He is considered a pro.
SEC is threatening LSU for allowing him to play.

Do you honestly think Ole Miss has that kind of stroke?
Posted on 9/4/26 at 8:50 am to TigerMonkey7
I don’t see any world where ole Miss has any pull within the sec

The SEC would probably take random allegations more under advisement than Ole Miss complaints
