This is what I'm sending into the Reveille, any thoughts or additions needed? The312, I quoted you
quote:
Go back and listen to that Billy Cannon Runback tape that your parents kept from when they were young. Go back and watch the "One Second Blues." Go back and watch the "Earthquake Game" and the Day we knocked off #1 Florida. Go back and watch the 2003 victory against UGA. Go Back and watch Va Tech, Florida, and Auburn from 2007. Not only do you see victory, but you can hear it also. Those games give us chills and on Saturday Night we have the chance to be a part of one the best games in Tiger Stadium history. You hear it in the deafing yells of fans who are proud of their school and their team. I know you've heard all the quotes from Paul Bryant and so forth about how loud Tiger Stadium can get. Saturday Night is the night for that to happen again. Have you read an article on us in the National Media lately? "They write their stories in advance: The coaches are cartoon buffoons. The QB is a bumbling clown. The Tigers are in a slow decline. Not what they used to be. No sir. CNNSI notes with apparent glee that LSU has lost its last three home games against ranked opponents. We have become an afterthought in the big bad world of reborn Bamas and slick-skinned Gators." (Props to The312 td.com) Are we really that? We're 3-0, and Saturday is the biggest non-conference game in a number of years. We're playing at 8 PM. Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium; there's nothing more beautiful than that. So, to everyone who's coming out on Saturday night, come to cheer and be a part of an exciting game, an exciting team, and an exciting year. For all of you Freshman, you'll remember this game for a long time, and for all of you Seniors, add this one to the list of great games you've seen. "Stay until the last note of the alma mater fades out over the levee. Unleash yourselves for sixty minutes. Revive the legends. Throw your heavy voices on the field, stone the Mountaineers to death with noise. Mete out the old time punishment to the enemies of the purple and gold" (The312).

I just re-read the entire thing aloud impersonating the narrator from the movie 300... and I scared myself.

Don't like coal? Turn your lights off. Gator skin and crawfish shells can't make your electricity. The only difference between a hillbilly and a cajun is the accent.

Someone should print this and hand it out to people walking in the game. I actually heard folks yelling at others to sit down during big plays last game.... that with the people constantly going to piss/shove food in their face, blew my mind!

A lot of W/V fans come to the Triad area to work, so I have met quite a few. I have to say, we really do have a lot in common. All loud n proud. Hard livin, harder playin.
Gotta give it to some of the W/V fans. The first to bring any decent smack this season....but it won't help Saturday night.
Y'all will return to your sills next week to drown your sorrows like those other Mountaineers from App St.

When we played USC in 79, they said that the atmosphere made storied Notre Dame look like a romper room.
When we played Auburn in 88, they said we made the earth tremble in fear.
When Florida fell in 97, they said you couldn't hear the Golden Band in all the jubilant madness.
When we broke UGA's heart in 03, they said "The Chant" beat back defeat.
When Tebow was slain in 07, it was the roar that made him bow his head and cry.

Brought a tear to me eyes..
I was at every one of those games. If we can muster half the energy of any one of those games, we are in like Flint. Great post. I can't wait till SAturday.

I was at every one but USC (greedy college student and sold my tickets for $1200). There are some other great ones too but those are the best.
Great Post. Let's show WVU how you do this.
