Why not? This time last year, no one thought CEH would even be the starting RB, much less the #1 RB taken in the draft at the end of the season...

Plus teams are gonna see that these two dudes were on the same team and we all saw how the peaking order went down.

It was pretty even until Marshall broke his leg against Vandy and missed three games. He was arguably Burrow’s favorite target prior. Hell, he still had 13 TDs in 12 games

If not for the injury and a few key drops he would be on everyone's radar. Expect big things this year. Back to back Biletnikoff winners?

ETA: he was a TD machine the first couple of games.

I mean going into the season Chase was our WR1, he missed the NWST game which is why the stats skewed to Terrance early on but there was never once a doubt on who the #1 guy is for us, even if you take away the injuries

The TD numbers are also a bit inflated off that GA Southern game where he had 3 TDs off 31 yards. That game we were trying to rack up passing TDs apparently, were throwing him a ton of bubble screens to get him in the end zone from what I remember.

ETA I don’t mean this to discredit Marshall in anyway, he’s an excellent WR and has a chance to be an early pick and I’m glad we have him at WR1. He’s gonna be a beast

Possible, kid had a great year. If he can go injury free, he is a freak athletically..

Hope so. It’s better for LSU program to have players that play 3-4 have more draft success than players that only play 2 years. Per Devin White, “ you can’t just hit a switch when it’s time to go pro!“

It would hurt the program of players start sitting out year #3 to get ready for the draft. Hopefully 2020 is the outlier and this does not become a trend.

I have already forgotten who Chase is, so I'd put money on it.

Henry ruggs went off the board before Jerry Judy. Pecking order on the team doesn't matter. Current skills + potential is what gets you drafted. Chase has incredible skill while having very good size and other tangibles. Whereas Marshall has very good skill with crazy tangibles.

If he somehow puts up similar numbers to what Chase did last year, it might get interesting. It would then come down to combine numbers. Teams will have Marshall fresh on their minds, while not having seen Chase in over a year.

I think it will be nearly impossible for a WR this year to put up similar numbers to what Chase did last year. It would take Brennan being nearly as good as Burrow, and 3 other receiving threats to prove themselves quickly. Burrow was the best player in America last year, and Chase benefited from teams having to respect Jefferson, Moss, and Clyde (and Marshall). I feel like we're going to be closer to 50/50 pass/run this year, too...simply because teams will have adjusted, and open up the run more.

I think the more possible scenario is Marshall having a solid year and playing himself into a 1st round ceiling, 2nd round floor.

Yes. Especially if yes healthy and produce the way most think he can with basically a first year starting QB. People only remember what you did last.

I hope he does, as well as another one somewhere out there. That will show Chase and others to pony up and play or else you can get passed up by what you did for me lately. Need a new rule to stop all this opting out and transfer portals, etc.

If you sit out before the third year removed from high school, you have to miss the upcoming draft and wait for the next. That will stop that shite

Idk.

Maybe

I think not just because I think You can look at them last year and say Chase is better.

People can say “it’s a what have you done lately” business, but it’s not.

GMs who forget who the best players are don’t last long.
