re: Do you really believe those calls would have gone the way they did if they hurt aTm ?

On the contrary, when delpit made that interception we did 'put the game away' and win the game. Its just that the refs had other plans. That is my only grip with the refs.
That is not one of the calls that bugs me honestly. The fumble ruled incomplete was much worse.
My point: before we should even be talking about the refs we need to acknowledge the following:
1) Our offense is putrid. We get a 1st down with 2:27 to go in regulation, there is no ref frickery.
2) Our defense had a bad night. Our DBs were giving too much cushion and we rarely brought pressure to Mond. Go back an look at the last A&M play in regulation and tell me why we left Davis wide open.
3) ST: why was Giles back to receive? He's been a liability all year. He made a boneheaded play, but the coaches should have seen he wasn't suited to punt returns.
4) Playcalling: Why do we always go with the most vanilla, passive, and predictable play calling when we need something more dynamic? More specifically, when A&M was using their timeouts before we gave them the ball back in regulation, why didn't we try a safe curl route to the flat, or the amazing halfback pass? A first down wins it, but our coaches, yet again, opted to forego going for the win and decided to give A&M another shot.
THOSE are the problems we need to address before we can bitch about refs. Did their calls suck? Yes. But we had ample opportunity to win that one and leave no room for that to happen.

this is really really dumb. the refs made bad calls because the crowd was real loud and got in their head. I'm sure calls go the other way if it's in Baton Rouge.

So now the SEC not only favors Bama but also favors A&M? Some of y’all just need to really take a step back and realize that there is no conspiracy against LSU.

sounds like he is telling the truth to me!

Congrats willie.

I am ready to move on, but one think really bothers me. I keep hearing "The refs got it right" and the fact is they didn't. If they would've got it right, A&M would've been scrambling to line up after Mond fumbled the snap and with no preparation had to come up with a hurried 4th and 18 play before the clock ran out. Outcome of THAT play making the first down with out an illegal procedure, jump, etc also causing a "run off" to end the game is fricking ZERO. So quit accepting they got it right, the booth had to review it on their own and call everyone back on the field.

This was retribution for fans calling them on their Devin White suspension corruption.

How was the illegal formation not "objectively wrong". You cant line up with 6 players off the line.

Because they didn’t do that

If we make one 1st down on our last drive in regulation, it’s game over. We had chances we didn’t take advantage of all night.
3 runs and punting sounds familiar.

Wtf are you talking about. The only players on the line of scrim was the 5 OLs

Maybe, but we won the game anyway.

I asked a different question on this following the game. Do you think any one of those calls would have gone against Bama if they were in LSUs place on those plays.
Me personnaly,
I dont think for one second they would.

We didnt take advantage om that situation (pass attempt would have given them even more time even though i would have liked to see a pass attempt on 1st or 2nd down just to ice the game). Regardless , Delpit took advantage anyway and picked off a pass which iced thd game. It wasnt a comtroversial call. 3 fingers on the ball does not constitute a fumble recovery or possesion of the ball even if you are laying on the ground.

We did? Direct me to a site that shows LSU won the game last Saturday. Everyplace I've gone says A&M won the game 74-72.

Hey of course if it was Bama they never even go back and review the knee down play. Game just ends and no one even questions it as it should have been anyway even with LSU

We won it on 3 separate occSions. Just the refs had other plans and decided to have aTm thought the winner by those without brains or eyeballs

I'll start worrying about the refs "cheating" for Bama when we actually score against them.

Funny... when teams get better coaches and beat us it's only then that the refs cheat. Funny how that works, no?
