If so what type of radio do you use where you can get good reception? I remember a couple years ago where they were giving away little radios that fit around your ear and broadcast the game...was pretty good.

We used to use a sony radio but now we have little MP3 players so we dont have to mess with batteries.

They sell a unit at the game that fits on your ear like a bluetooth earpiece. Not sure how much it costs. There is a website for it that was on a flyer when I got my season tickets.

Tried this for the first time last Sat. Loved it. Could care less about Hawthorne, but the rest was awesome. Not sure why I hadn't brought a radio before now.

giving away

If they were giving them away then, they aren't now. $30 for two, but they are supposed to work all season long.

I also saw the flier with my season tickets but just figured they were too expensive. Should've checked it out better. Do you know if they sell them in or around the stadium?

I use a regular FM radio (walkman-like), and 98.1 comes in clear, and there's not a delay. If that ever breaks, I'd probably buy the one they sell.

So true. He and I were watching two different games.

Can't tell you how many times he said "He is running the ball". Who the hell is HE?

Yep, they are all over the place and they work at away games too.

It sells for $20 - works pretty good
no delay in the stadium and you can pick up 98.1 fm outside the stadium

the best thing about it is it can be used for away games in the opponents stadium..

I did listen to Hawthorne for the first time in years last week. He used some words that did not make sense. Does he do that often?

DO NOT BUY THE LITTLE UNITS SOLD AT THE GAME. They break, do not work for longer than maybe 1 hour.

I have bought (and returned to the gift shop) 2 of those. I just bring my old transistor radio and listen when I want to.

That sucks.

Mine worked great. My friends have them too and theirs worked great too.

Hawthorne has to be the most anti LSU fan in the state of La.

Why would anyone want to listen to our radio anouncer constantly bash our players and coaches?

Time to move on if you ask me.
