Sorry but I haven’t forgotten last year’s offense. Definitely not great my man, not great. Couldn’t run it and for the most part had a lot of trouble passing it. We had a lot of trouble running the ball against better teams when we needed to.

He did a good job, for sure. There were warts though. Especially last year.

Denvrock coordinated the best offense in the nation last season and coached a Heisman trophy winning QB. I think he’s worth $9 mill.

That’s a lot of money just to try to guarantee that the current head coach is successful.

Sure, if he had a Jayden clone every year.

Yeah, but if it went south after just a year or two, it’s a big bite to absorb. That’s not likely, but we also thought Matt Canada would be a no-brainer with the personnel we had coming off of Miles’ tenure.

I liked Denbrock more than many here last year, but there’s no way I would match that to keep him when he’s over 60 and isn’t an ace recruiter. I would eval Sloan and Hankton for continuity and if they aren’t ready, go spend similar money with much less of a guarantee on a younger, more innovative coach who is a plus recruiter.

Absolutely not

If LSU would have guaranteed him $9mm we’d be slamming SW.

A completely overhauled OL with 2 true freshmen starting had something to do with that. It didn’t help that we weren’t really stretching the field in the passing game, either.

These things improving this season made a huge difference.

You mean, HAD a better class for a minute. Echols moved us above, and we aren't done yet. Get Bussey and/or McKinley, and we move further up. Keep up, please! ND normally doesn't have the same of athletes that LSU and the SEC has. That narrative comes straight from BK's mouth, and it shows statistically over time.

I wish Denbrock the best! He left our program better than he found it and that's all I can ask.

As for the 9 million guaranteed, it would seem that most colleges would have learned from the Jimbo fiasco to stay away from those types of contracts, but apparently not.

I'm sure they will just pass the expense off to the fans in the form of some type of fee, and fans will complain and pout, but in the end, will still pay the price.

No I am not dumb at all...the 11 likes I got are actually the ones who can read as opposed to the 108 that are obviously incompetent of reading and understanding the material of what you just read

That’s insane. I don’t blame him at all for taking that deal. No way LSU should try to match that. How much does Freeman make?

Personally, no way. Too many options can be had for less or equal. However, all it takes is one person to think so. Remember, there are multiple signatures on this contract. Someone else thinks he is worth it.
