He was an actual surprise as a defensive coordinator for us. Those years after the natty were a shitshow and I choose to just ignore they existed. BTW Max Johnson is still playing college football. Lol

I think he was also held back a little bit by the head coach at the time and did not have full control of the scheme or personnel.

From what I remember he seemed like a really good family man and all around good person. He was just over his skis as a big time OC. I wish him well
