Look at the rest of the league. Everyone’s with the exception of texas has multiple losses. Texas likely would have at least 2 losses if they didn’t play such an easy conference schedule.

Misery loves company but I’ll be damned if I didn’t watch LSU last night and see a team who isn’t light years behind Tennessee, ole miss, Georgia, A&M, South Carolina, Mizzou, Bama (despite 42-13), Oklahoma and Florida. It used to feel like Bama and Georgia were on another planet and guys like LSU had no chance at beating them without a freak once a generation team like 2019

The margins between these programs isn’t as wide as people think. Any of these teams can beat any of the other teams. We finally have parity after years of crying about the lack of parity.

I honestly think a little luck in the injury department, a few more guys from the portal and the ball bouncing our way a few times, LSU is right there. We got smoked in one game vs Bama. It was just a choke job. arse kicking. It’s obvious that going forward 2 losses is almost a CFP lock and maybe even a 3rd loss can get you in. Look at Carolina. They’re in if they beat Clemson.

All that being said, LSU will be fine and we aren’t as bad as we were thinking after losing to Bama Florida then losing underwood

Its the way we lost each game that bothers me. Especially TAMU/BAMA/UF.

TAMU and UF were just self sabotage, BAMA we didnt even show up. USC is just a classic BK laying a turd.

I think we’re far off at certain positions like safety and interior o-line. We need top end talent and depth there.

This is all crap & typical ranter talk. The truth is those losses were due to the weaknesses of the middle of the defense being exposed. DT, LB & S. Also, the inability to run the football because IOL issues played a part as well.

I agree. There’s a few spots we need experienced guys in via the portal but overall it’s really not in that bad of a spot.

We need a top tier safety and some dudes on the OL.can’t win at any level if you can’t run the ball decently

These coaches have to get back their leverage in dealing with these entitled players coming in. They can’t let these high dollar players call the shots. Coaches are supposed to develop players for the next level - not be best friends with the players. I think Napier and Kelley are figuring that out. You can see the team rally behind the coach, especially Napier, when they put their foot down. They are building credibility in a very different college football world. It takes a while and it can be painful. But, it won’t last forever.

We aren't, but i worry about the intensity or physicality of the team. Some games it's not noticeable, some it's embarrassingly noticeable. Also, there just seems to be huge lapses in coaching from BK. For someone that is so intentional and preaches being intentional, it's mind boggling how this team is still doing some of the same things in year 3 as in year 1.

I'll get flamed for this, but this squad’s future in the NFL will reveal that this coaching staff did well with what they were working with.

Having said that, in year three, the roster is on BK.

After losing underwood, LSU needs to spend their money on DL, OL and DB. We stack up there, LSU will be a force. We are lacking at these spots, need to be 2 deep on DL soon. UGA has been very dominant last 5 years due to the trenches.

Tenn has a much better Defense than we do, but their offense is god awful.

We're not that far off. The BEST SEC teams have lost 2-3 SEC games this year. (UTexass will have two SEC losses soon enough.)

Just wait until the annual opening season loss at Clemson next year.

In that 1 loss that Texas has, they got destroyed by Georgia, and at home in Austin.

Not reading all that but the idea that you build a program is obsolete. You are either ‘on’ or you are ‘off’. You’re not ‘not far off’. Can Kelly switch us to ‘on’?

…and all the NIL contributors as well, I guess.

Not at all. The ones that continue to bitch, will bitch no matter what. They are your front runners. They are miserable and come here to exhibit that misery.

Of course we aren’t far off. That’s what makes this year so infuriating.

We lost to four average at best football teams.

We are poorly coached, generally unmotivated, lazy, and lack fundamentals. Those are the problems, not talent.

If we had better:

HC
OC
QB
RB (depth)
WRs
IOL
DLine
LB
Safeties
Kicker
Punter

Then I feel like we’d be closer.

With NIL money BS and the liberal transfer rule….you can count on the SEC to be a massive free for all all the time and don’t plan on anything like “building a program”
