The instant Yeldon caught the ball I knew Loston had no chance. Mathieu more than likely makes that tackle. That dude just made plays.

The Florida game at that time losing 14-6 seemed like an abominable offense before we realized how good they were.

I will get downvoted for this because people will just look back at Florida's record that year, but that wasn't a team we should have lost to that season. We were way more talented than them. It was just early in the season before Miles let Mett take the lid off and throw the ball down the field like he did in November (averaged over 250 passing yards per game).

Florida was good, but they weren't anywhere near elite. People forget that a month after they beat us they had to come from behind to win a game as time expired against ULL in the Swamp.

That was a crazy year in the SEC with legit six teams capable of winning a title that year (Bama, LSU, Florida, USC, A&M and UGA). I think he definitely could have been a difference maker with such even talent otherwise. So if the refs just call a good FG good instead of a miss in 2011 and one player doesn’t get kicked off the team in 2012, ole Les could have easily been sitting on 3 titles in 6 years.

Miles fricked up not playing Jarret Lee. Had he started and bombed then he could have gone to JJ. JJ sucked big.

This was the topic of discussion on a radio show yesterday that Mike Scarborough was on. He said it would have made a big difference and that there is no way Mathieu would have been sent packing had Saban been in charge. Joe Allevia and those idiots in the compliance department would have been sent packing.

The team needed a leader. Mathieu was it. Once he was off the team, they seemed rudderless. Yes, a championship was in the cards.

It wouldn't have mattered. Les would still be calling the plays

Downvote all you want, however while Honeybadger might have been an added plus, we don’t win the Natty with that putrid Offense and that waste that was Jordon Jefferson.

We definitely don't lose to Bama with him on the field.

Is he the HC? Because Les would have found another way to screw it up.

He would have mismanaged any other game whether it was the title game vs ND or a random conference game. Just know Les would have done it.

Yeah, I agree....I'm not sure we get the 2011 Honey Badger in 2012 even if he had played....so good point.

I think we go back-to-back if Ryan Perrilloux isn't kicked off the team. That one set back the program big time. If Perrilloux was not a head case, Bama does not go on to dominate at the level they did.

Miles gave Lee 4 tries vs Bama with a 1TD/ 7int/ 14 sack result in just 50 or so attempts.

It was small miracle LSU won GOTC in spite of Lee's last performance and the internet thinks he somehow would've saved the day in a zero margin for error contest.
It's a LOL level dumb narrative.

Jarret Lee was TERRIFIED against Alabama. He wanted NO part of them on 1/9. Should’ve put Mett in and just told him to run a 2 minute offense.

Imagine if we drug tested college athletes now….

Would we even be able to field a team of 11 two way players? Bc I def don’t think we could field 22.

We should have beaten Bama in 2012 without him so with him I think we definitely do. Do we beat UGA in ATL is the question because we would have streamrolled Notre Dame
