Gets Millazzo and Neal more reps and frees up the DH.

I think he has to play it to increase his draft stock

I'm sure he will spend some time working there, along with Jones.

If he comes back I bet he plays a good split of catcher and DH with the occasional start at 1st

I don’t see Milazzo playing a big role next year. He may fill in here and there, provide a rest for Neal, but he won’t be the primary catcher. He’ll serve similar to this year - a good injury sub.

Milazzo was so clutch this year….if he continues to improve under Jay it will be hard to keep him off the field.

He also provides great calming leadership.

He was clutch but he was Neal’s backup, then sat for Travinski. After the offensive production lost this year, the bat will be absolutely necessary next year.

He didn’t get drafted. Why wouldn’t he?

He could transfer out for playing time. He also graduated this past spring.

I would absolutely love him back don’t get me wrong. It just isn’t a guarantee.

If he wants to catch he’s going to have to transfer. His future is probably 1st base. Jay has said they see Jones as a corner outfielder.

It would be nice to have Neal back as starting catcher

Travinski at first if he can do it and jones in the outfield

Are you sure this isn’t confused with Frey, and if not do you have a link?

I still don't believe Jay ever said this. What I remember him saying that about is Frey, which would make much more sense. Frey could move around in the OF much better than Jones can.

I thought he and Bear both said he’d be moving back to catcher.

Why, so many on here will continuously try to make him live up to the Tre Morgan standard which he never will. You do know that 1st baseman do have a special skill that not just everyone has. Tre had it, but Travinski never will.
