I know Coach O said he wants the offense to be 50/50, but I just don't see that happening in this offense. I would say 70/30 Pass to Run is probably perfect.

Watching the game against Utah State, you could see us trying to establish the run early and it threw the offense off completely. Why get away from what got you to where you were?

I feel if we start trying to force the run, then its only gonna hurt us going forward like it did in the first half against Utah State.

I agree with this 100%. I see no need to incorporate the run more until you absolutely have to. I really don’t think anyone can stop the pass game so why stop?

We need first downs to keep the defense on the sidelines. I personally don’t care how we do it, but hammering the ball makes their D have to get secondary involved in run support.

If it aint broke, dont fix it. What we have been doing has worked so far and in the words of the Great Joe Brady "they cant F-ing stop it!"

What CEO really means is that he wants the offense to score a lot of points, but putting it that simply will make him appear simple...

It’d be helpful in time of possession and keeping our defense rested.

If somehow we get into a situation where florida is causing us trouble in the passing game, it will be critical to have a running game to counter

I believe a pre-determined percentage is not desirable. I know it is cliche'. But, take what the defense gives you. But, it is important to be ABLE to do that.

So, if the 'box is light'...run. If the bos in neutral or stacked...pass. But, running a certain amount makes the LBs have to respect that and keep them closer to the line (not cheat back into pass zones). Also, makes play-action passes and RPOs more efective.

So, yes..LSU needs to establish a t=running ability. It neeedn't be 50/50. But, 70P / 30R is pretty skewed.

At some point, running the ball/burning some clock will be important, you do things like we did against Utah State to understand what you can and cant do as a team knowing you will win the game regardless.

They have gotten a good feel for the offense now through 5 games. At some point, the passing game will be challenged and we may have to run the ball some. At some point, we're going to get up 3 scores late on an opponent and just want to run the clock out instead of potentially going 3 and out in 30 seconds or some other short drive.

Nobody likes to burn clock and shorten a game with the passing game we have, or run for 4-6 yards instead of pass for 7-10 yards...but again there's reasons they are doing what they have.

the beauty of this offense is that it is designed to take what the defense seems to give you.

This is the type of game that Brady, and Burrow not being a normal student should show out. IMHO Brady brings an NFL preparation to LSU. what to expect, and what to do against the expected defenses. Burrow is not a normal student and can look at film just about every waking moment of the day.

Or this is the way that i am rationalizing a Tiger win!

The good thing about this offense and staff is that they do what WORKS. Passing works? Good, keep taking what they give you. If Florida is playing to where we can take 7-8 yard runs off of them, that's good too.

Once we are ahead by thirty-five points, then we should really try to establish the run...

The concept that you need to have a 50/50 balance has proven to be completely false.

But if teams are going to put 6 in the box LSU will have to at least have some success running. Especially with Marshall out.

We need to score points. How we do that does not matter.

We once lost to Auburn 30-26 without their offense scoring a single TD. You think they give a shite how they got to 30?
