Do some of you people realize we lost to the #1 team today?

It's almost like Jan 9 all over again as some of you go full rantard.

I would be willing to bet this is probably the first game of the season most of you have even watched because it was Kentucky. You saw them get blown out by the #1 team and you have no clue that the team is actually much improved this season and will continue to get better.

If you don't fall into that group then what is the problem? Did you really think LSU was going to beat Kentucky today? When is the last time that happened?

Relax people. This team still has a very got shot to win 9 or so conference games which would be a great improvement over the last 2 years.

The team fought and had some heart against Florida and Mississippi State.

LSU came back home and quit against Kentucky. That's what people are upset about.

Trent Johnson said it himself.

"We stopped competing in the 2nd half."

If LSU "quit" today, they would've lost by more than 24 points.

The game was over 3 minutes into the 2nd half. That kinda sucked

Oh, and it was our 19th conference loss in the last 22 games

I just want LSU to make the NCAA tournament on a regular basis. It doesn't have to be every year, but it is getting a little old knowing another year will go by and LSU will not be in the tournament.

They said "ah frick it" after Kentucky started running on them and getting easy dunks after halftime.

I'm not real concerned about the past 2 years, only the future and this team will win several more conference games this season.

Or the postseason period.

We have been to the postseason just once since the 2006 final four run and we have been to the NCAA tourney just 5 times since 1993.

This. I'd like to sniff a ranking here and there. Don't think i'm asking for to much.

What other schools make the tournament on a "regular basis" and also have a football powerhouse like LSU? Not being a smartass, serious question.

Florida?
Texas?

I've been hearing for two years, that all TJ needs is one more year and he will be on track... By this year, we should be better than what we are.

Why don't you let the year finish out? If he quadruples the conference win total from last year by season's end would you be happy?

People hated Brady, but I would love to be back at a place where we have postseason runs of 02 - Nit, 03 - NCAA, 04 - NIT, 05 - NCAA, 06 - NCAA (Final 4).

LSU basketball can be even bigger than that. It's just a stepping stone.

Texas
Florida
Ohio State

ETA: don't see why it needs to be mutually exclusive though.

There are a bunch of other schools that have football teams regularly in bowl games, and are able to make the field of 68 most years.

If I see an steady improvement from this point forward I would be happy, but I am not expecting it to happen. I hope they prove me wrong.

Not a good comparison.

I don't think they've made the tournament since 2006.

Ok, so if we made the Peach Bowl every year and also made the field of 68, would that make you happy?

Just pointing out that usually you see schools put all of their resources into one program and that program is the successful one. Not saying both can't be good at times, but that usually isn't on a regular basis.
