I understand that, what I don't understand is why the meltdown today after losing to the #1 team in the country. There hasn't been this many posts combined in the last 2 weeks about basketball.

Because the team has shown signs of improvement thus has built up some hope and interest..

A big loss at home to the #1 team shows the reality of where we are...

It must be like how Ole Miss fans feel about their football program... Just can't ever get to the next level

And the team has improved and will end up still winning way more conference games than they did last season. They haven't lost a conference game yet that they were actually expected to win.

The reality is that the team is still much improved. What did you expect yesterday? Kentucky is #1 for a reason.

I did too but 15 or 24 is still pretty much getting smoked either way.

For somebody with a name like "RealityTiger" you seem to be in a fantasy world.

My post yesterday was that I had a sneaking feeling, a hunch, a maybe, whatever you want to call it. Was I disappointed? Not really. I had a small satisfaction during the game knowing that we absolutely skull fricked Kentucky in football just a few months ago.

I'm just disgusted with out fanbase sometimes. LSU fans are NEVER f'n happy. Ever. You have people on here wanting every single coach we have fired. People want Miles fired. People want TJ fired. People want PM fired. It's just frustrating to read at times.

Do you not see the hypocrisy in that? You're disgusted with the LSU fans, because they're disgusted. It's like a cat chasing its tail.

Let me know how that works out for you.

We looked like we were going to do that for about 15 minutes of the first half (and the PMAC was rocking during that time too), then shite just hit the fan and UK stormed ahead. I've moved on, it's a good time to have the week off for the team and they'll hopefully come back strong in the 2nd half of the season

I just want LSU to make the NCAA tournament on a regular basis. It doesn't have to be every year, but it is getting a little old knowing another year will go by and LSU will not be in the tournament.

the season is more than the tournament to win the D-1 men's championship. enjoy each game for what it is.

If people actually filled the arena on the reg, LSU would get an NIT home game this season. As it is, LSU will probably go on the road for the NIT game. home court is worth 6 points in Sagarin's analysis. a road NIT game at a non-BCS conference runner up will be very hard to win.

History doesn't bear that out, though.

Didn't lsu football suck in the 90's for the most part?

A new coach came in, built up a wall around Louisiana and turned lsu into a national powerhouse.

It really boils down to what the expectations are for the athletic programs.

You think fans would tolerate lsu not going to a bowl game three years in a row?

Do you think lsu AD would?

frick no!

Trent has had three years to get the team to improve. He said it himself yesterday, they gave up.

That shouldn't be accepted at lsu.
