Once a year against a nobody team is perfect. I love having different jerseys here and there, but the white jerseys should be used a minimum of 9 games a year.

No real substance behind the purple jersey/ bad luck claim.
The real bad luck came in the fact they had Mike Archer and Curley Hallman coaching those teams that wore purple jerseys at home

Purple jerseys need to be worn EVERY non-conf. home game (including the opener), AND one SEC game (rotate opponents) and mix in the white pants/helmets in there too. Would be badass to see Bama, UF, Auburn, etc come into Tiger Stadium wearing road whites like old times - for me anyway.
