Lazy narrative. He forced himself into at least three third and longs due to inaccurate passes at Arkansas.

He hit a ark player in the head on the first pass of the game. Might have been a TD.

If you were a pocket passer, would you want to come to LSU knowing what kind of offense they run? For that matter, why would a good receiver want to come here?

It's not rocket science.

Because they are sure to go pro and get drafted high as they are taught NFL skills here. Are you even a LSU Fan?

to be fair, there are only like 10 NFL QBs that are "holding down the job"

well, I think harris is a pocket guy. We have two other committed. Franks and Dinkleman.

He just had his best day as far as numbers, made a few mistakes but they all do. Threw on first down a lot more. He's coming around.

That's on him. Ole Miss game, times he had the underneath throw open, he would throw to Beckham in double coverage.

This cannot be overstated.

LSU almost lost to Bama in 2007 because of Flynn. Up 17-3, Flynn threw INTs on three straight drives.

He was fantastic against OSU, and that is what people remember.

We need a winner and call plays like we believe he's a winner. Under Les we'll never know what we got because he calls offense to not lose

He could've thrown it underneath all game or we could've just handed it to Hill. Or Chavis could've fielded a competent defense that year that didn't fold at the end of the game.

Honestly, there were points in 2013 where we passed too often, or in the case of Ole Miss, Mett didn't go for the safe play. 2014, we couldn't pass at all. This year, I don't hate the play calls as much as I do the formations. Prior to the Bama game, our scoring offense looked great and people were talking about how Harris was hitting his stride at the right time.

One question I have is why didn't LSU go out and get a transfer QB this offseason who might have been able to step in and help right away, sort of like Ole Miss did with Chad Kelly? Last season, we conclusively established that Jennings can't play and that Harris has potential but is very green. I think Harris has been serviceable this year, and probably hasn't deserved to get pulled, but if he had gone down with an injury, then we're left with Jennings? That did not seem like a good plan.

Most HS's run spread formations these days. Most of the QB's LSU recruits are throwing A-LOT in HS, and they're successful with 3-4 WR sets out of the shotgun with quick snaps.

LSU runs just about the most opposite offense you can run to the offense they come from. That's why the QB's always take so long to get going IF they get going.

Sonofabitch, I never thought about it, but you're right. No one has blamed Les yet.

This has been Miles' QB problem all along. He's signing running qbs and trying to put them in pro style offenses

Harris is a pro style QB, Miles/Cam just need to put them in a true modern pro style offense, which is not the offense we run. NOt sure if Cam even knows how to coach a true modern pro style offense.

LOL

they haven't exactly worked out well here lately.. see the transfers. and they didn't work out well elsewhere either.. LSU recruits pocket passers. Franks is still a pocket passer, regardless how he is labeled by certain places.

exactly, we still manage to pull in some pretty highly rated QB's and recievers dispite the offense we run. Imagine what we could recruit if we ran a more modern pro style offense that threw the ball more often and were a more relevant program.
