I thought he would do it last year. The guy has had a stellar career.

That's pretty hard to believe that has never been done before.

I wonder what's the chances of him making it into the Hall of Fame if he accomplishes that. Doesn't he also have a gold glove or multiple? The problem is, he isn't known as a superstar. It's a shame too, because he is really a great ballplayer.

There have been a LOT of great players to come through LSU. But you can never guess who has it in them to take it to the next level and simply improve dramatically over time. DJ was a fantastic player for the Tigers, but I never would have guessed he'd be a guy who would be winning batting titles, going to All-Star games, and generally being one of the best in the majors. He's got all of the tools. Bat, glove, all of it. Love to see it. Now if we can just get Aaron Nola on a team with some offense...

He was one of my favorite players at LSU
He had a .350 batting average with a good bit of pop in 2009.
I honestly Thought he would hit for power more in the bigs. He was also a great 2nd basemen once he switched from shortstop. He had the fielding but not the arm.

Fitting since he delivered the greatest clutch performance since Morris in '96 in game one of the '09 CWS. Without him LSU loses in 2 to Texas.

He should have won it last year but Anderson from White Sox who missed a bunch of time beat him out
Tables might turn this year as DJ missed about 10 games
Anderson will be up there the next couple of seasons

It’s kinda crazy. Anyone else feel like DJ is among the most well-rounded but under appreciated players in the majors? Dude is money

He had one of the prettiest swings in college baseball

There was a ton of chatter about it when he signed with NY. Couldn't believe he signed as low as he did. He's really, really good.

With the virus, has the number at bats to qualify for a batting championship been changed? Before this year, a batter had to have a set number of at bats to qualify.

Zero
But he has turned into a really good major league which I think a lot of people never saw coming

Obviously, or then no one would win

I said on a thread last year he would reach 3k hits and got ripped to shite by a few posters. I still say he gets to it. Dude is gonna hit for a LONG time.

Agreed we lose the series without that hit

He has to average 181 hits until he is 42 to get to 3k hits lol
