Is this supposition or do you have something that would back this up?

Good fielding and pitching should go together.
I love pitch to contact guys that get out of an inning with 5 pitches and 3 ground balls.

If one school has 11 of the top 100 players committed and the other has 1 in the top 100 committed who has a better chance of signing the most top 100 players and filling out a better class over all in the transfer portal.

This isn’t a sentence. What are you trying to say? I’m guessing you mean the team with one recruit in the top 100 has the better actual class. That seems doubtful to me, though.

No it’s called the law of averages and you just aren’t competent enough to understand I guess.

The team with 11 of the top 100 committed has a better chance of getting more top 100 players to campus thus having a better recruiting class

LSU has none of their top 100 kids projected in the first round haven’t looked at the second round but it isn’t much there either.Good chance 4-5 of these kids maybe more make it to campus

Multiple publications have Justin Crawford going in the first round in their most recent write ups.

There was one that had Mikey Romero in the first round, though that may have changed.

You must have hated Skip. Dude used to shite all over Starkville. Talk about lack of class

While I still think we get a top 3 class when they regrade it in Octoberish, it’s silly to think high school kids won’t sign if they’re taken outside of the first.

Of the top 100 MLB prospects only 32 are high school kids.Kids will sign outside the first round but there will be probably half of the top 100 that you can get on campus maybe more.If LSU gets just 5 of the 11 they have committed that would be huge especially if 2 of them are really good pitchers that work out for us

Was listening to Hanagriff today and he threw out:

3B - Doughty
SS - Cranford
2B - Merrifield
RF - Berry
DH - Jobert

Worth a shot, though Cranford isn’t much of a hitter

ETA: My bad.. didn’t mean to derail the thread. Just saw DRock and ell mention positions

Well SWB, since you went there and we are now riding on the outer rails of this thread, I’d like to see:

3B - Doughty
SS - Cranford
2B - Merrifield
RF - Jobert
DH - Berry (I know damnit, but I’m thinking about the team, not his promises)

Do it for the next 4 games and see what happens. Can Dugas play 2B?

I know you’re one of the regular baseball posters as well and I’m bummed the whole first page is about football and basketball.

I just wanna talk about baseball!

I don’t think Money should start Friday but hell if I know who should start instead.

I thought every player Paul recruited was a high school SS.. you’d think they could field better

The team is better off with Berry at 3rd than RF.
He takes poor routes in the outfield and hesitates to bring the ball back in.

He’s not a good 3rd baseman, but he appears to have quick reactions and looks like he tries to get in front of a couple of balls even if he didn’t field them cleanly.

He played some 2B. Don't recall how he looked or just why CPM moved him to LF.

Auburn didn’t beat us because of Money’s start.
The errors behind him and Johnson leaving him in too long cost us.

You have any data on this to back it up or just pulling it out your arse?

I agree but he hasn’t looked great in his last few starts. Think his ERA is over 10 in SEC play. Not all of that is solely on the defense

Yes dipshit , last year 43 of the top 100 didn’t sign pro deals and went to school and last year 19 were drafted in the first round and this year nowhere near that is projected there.Everything can change from now till then but it’s safe to say there is a good chance you can get half to campus somewhere

Wait wait wait… you’re using last year??? With only 5 rounds?!

Any stats from last year are completely useless. I thought I was have an argument with someone who actually knew something about the draft. Guess not.
