I would say shitty calls by the ref put us in the situation to be losing in the first place.

I don’t remember that first PI as clealry

That one happened before the ball was in the air and why everyone was wondering how it was PI. When they showed the full angle view reply the Auburn defensive back grabbed the receive before his break and held him so it too was the correct call and PI...

That game is over. The Aubie DBs were mugging the LSU receivers all day. Each game is different. If there were no injuries I like our chances going forward.

There were 3-4 plays earlier in the game where the ball landed within 2 yards of an LSU receiver who was unable to make a play on it because of pass interference. The last drive was actually called accurately. We weren’t lucky, the refs were just finally paying attention.

We might have been up by 2 instead of down if the rest of the game was called like the last drive.

You can say the offense sucked without penalties but without the penalties the offense would have potentially had two big gains. It goes both ways.

Looking at the drive we had very little production on offense.

if I am not mistaken we got enough yardage to kick the game winning fg...to me that is a successful last drive...and we didn't leave any time on the clock

How do you move the ball when they're holding your receivers? The penalty against Jefferson hurt LSU. Had the guy not held down Jefferson's arm he would have easily caught that for more than the 15 penalty yards.

Giles(?) was held because he was making a move that beat the Auburn defender badly. Giles would have been two yards in the clear with no other Auburn defenders in the middle of the field. He might still be running had he not been held.

Auburn was holding because they were beaten.

The penalties bailed us out (and yes the were legit calls no doubt).

You can always stop receivers from catching the ball by committing penalties, is that a good defense?

At a quick glance not sure how accurate your spreadsheet is.

Line 10 says 4th and 4. Situation was 4th and 7.

DB's holding has something to do with offensive production.

Yes and no.

Look, I think the calls were legit. Giles wasn't able to run his route at all and Jefferson couldn't lift his arm to make a catch. They committed PI.

But ask yourself, legit or not legit, if before the game someone had told you that the refs would flag Auburn twice for PI in Jordan-Hare on the game's final drive, would you have believed them? There were worse muggings in that game that didn't get flagged. So I think we're fortunate in the sense that I never expect to get a fair call in the state of Alabama.

No. Once we got the first PI call, Coach E was smart to back at the same DB a 2nd time.

Penalty yardage costs 00:00 on the clock, so take if you can.

Does not matter to me that Auburn's DBs have to grab on every play as long as the refs call it, which they did.

The contacting the face mask penalty was an intentional gift to those whiney-mouthed sissies. Also, was it Jefferson who was interfered with in the end zone?

Yeah I remember that one now.

Giles was blowing by the guy and he just grabbed him.

The last three plays LSU was just running the clock out to kick it. To make your chart seem legit you need to delete them.
