Did the SEC just send LSU a message about complaining about officiating?

I generally do not like complaining about officiating. Especially after a loss. It is overdone by LSU fans.
But a lot of neutral fans commented on all the key calls going against LSU. Half a dozen or more.
Perhaps Birmingham wanted to make a point and a game before a hostile crowd and SEC friendly commentators on tv would be a good place to do so...

Play calling wasn't that bad. The spot on 4th was probably the most egregious. I am an LSU homer through and through, but officiating did not cost us the game. The only putrid call was the fumble, but since O didnt ask for a review, we can't hold that against the refs.

It was no worse than it typically was. The knee was down on the interception, The PI in the endzone happened (13 was a freak), there was 1 second left on the clock with ball clearly on the ground.

LSU Had a chance to challenge 2 bad cookie monster failed to do so.

My exact thought during the game.

This was a kill shot to put down the rebellion before it fully starts.

I don't think they'd send a message about speaking out against crooked officiating by reinforcing crooked officiating. PR nightmare

PI in the endzone was a terrible call. Can’t give you that.

Knee down on INT was likely correct, but questionable if it was indisputable. Fumble was likely a fumble but it’s often called an incomplete pass.

The illegal formation should have negated the additional second being added. It’s questionable if a second could be added bc of the 3 second rule.

There were multiple times we should have walked off field and refused to play the rest of game.

The 1 sec put back on clock is being questioned... but at the same time an same play A@M had 5 in the backfield an no call was made!

The spot on 4th down may have been generous, but not decisive. The network says it put the first down “yellow line” in the wrong place. ( just reporting what they said).

Play calling was okay, but officiating was horrible. #77 for aTm the right guard was holding all night and the Aggies got called for only 3 penalties in 4 quarters and 7 OT’s. Are you serious. They had an illegal formation without 7 men on the line of scrimmage on the spike play with one second left on the clock that wasn’t called. Just horrible. Worst officiating I’ve ever seen....EVER and I’ve been watching football for over 50 years.

SEC and Steve Shaw don’t give a crap about social media or talking heads on TV. They do whatever they want and we either take it or flip them off and leave.

As a fan base, we need to get over some of the past stuff that happened. It was unfortunate and not right, but I do believe it is causing us to get unfair treatment on an ongoing basis. Time to move on Tigers

The only clear blown call that was indisputably wrong was the 4th down spot. The rest were close. That pass play should have been called a fumble, but they aren't going to overturn those most of the time where you get into frame by frame arguments over what's a complete 'football move' with possession

I hope so. As a LSu fan the pissing and moaning about calls after every game has gotten old. It's embarrasing at this point and we should of one that game no matter the calls.
